I have a few questions on last nights ppv race.

I guess there were a few glitches getting the show up on the computers but then the interviews were not done because a microphone did not work? Then we had the Canadian anthem played.... In Arizona? The only US track that i have seen played both anthems was Cedar Lake a few years ago. I assume it they used one of those national anthem CD's and played Canada by mistake. Then we saw a race that only had one camera for the whole night. The other guys always have at least 2 cameras.

While the 2 videos shown during the break were cool I did not have to see them 20 times in a row.....

The track only had one tow truck and the "safety crew" was the slowest I have seen in a long time. I hope no one gets a fuel leak while upside down for the remaining nights there as it looks like the track is not prepared for such an event.

At no time did I see and ambulance at the facility. Most tracks roll the ambulance on the track when a red comes out.

I hope the remaining nights broadcast goes better for them.

I tell it like I see it.

Maybe the PPV wasn't the quality expected but the races were very good.  Perhaps a little slow with car removal but there was at least 3 pieces of equipment capable of picking up the cars.  Maybe PPV didn't show the ambulance but there was at least one there and for a while there was two.  And the safety crew and the ambulance were there in a reasonable time after an accident.  I was there and my observation and opinion of the races and the program was very good.  The track condition was exceptional throughout the program.  My hats off to the entire Cocopah staff for an excellent evening.  Now, if they can just do something about the cold weather.

If you have ever spent time in AZ, especially in Yuma during the winter you would comprehend the Canadaian National Anthem.  In the Yuma, Tucson, and Phoenix areas, many businesses have "Canadian Days" weekly, local real estate agents have websites designed for the Canadian Snow Birds, golf courses have special leagues for Canadians, etc.  I really take my hat off in regards for the organizers of the event for showing Canadian winter visitors respect.

They play the Canadian anthem at the Knoxville Nationals and have even heard the New Zealand anthem played there once....

The safety crew was contracted from the local fire department....There was a large contingent of them that seemed well versed...

The PPV production started off very rocky as none of us whom bought the pkg got to see hot laps due to tech issues. Then they had another glitch during the Qualifiers, so we missed one of those. I hope they get the bugs out of the system for tonight. The Tow Truck/Track Crew situation was horrible. Extremely slooooooow. And as for the CAN National Anthem, apparently you dont get out much lol. Those of us here in the NE hear it at majority of our races, as Canadians are a very big part of our dirt track racing.

Cedar Lake has had weekly competitors from Canada over the years and that's why the play both there.  I don't see that connection with an Arizona track.  Maybe the Mexican National Anthem would have been a better fit.  wink

on PPV it looked about 80% full but it only holds 4000. kind of sad if it was taylor swift or justin bieber it would have sold out in 15 min online.

Don't forget about the revenue from online PPV. This time of year, a lot of sprint car fans with nothing better to do than to tune in.

The few times i attended the Dirt Cup in Skagit  WA. they played both USA and Canadian national anthems. Been to the Knoxville Nationals a couple times and they played both USA an Australian national anthem.  Nothing new since Skagit dirt cup draws many fans and drivers from Canada,  Kville nationals draws fans and drivers from down under.

I'm probably being generous calling it half full.

Skagit Speedway plays the Canadian anthem every race. Even did Australia and New Zealand at Dirt Cup whenever there is a driver from those countries present.

Remember the track is out in the middle of nowhere. About six hours round trip to watch a race during the holidays.

The weather was bad, real bad, in a lot of AZ and Cali.. Snow in the desert in AZ and some pictures of snow all over the Inland Empire in Cali. Might not seem that bad to some of you boy's but it was nasty in a lot of place's on this side. The weather is going to get back to normal and it's going to pick up.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

I believe one of the sprint car drivers - 15/16 year old Skylar Gee is from Canada. Another reason to play Canada nat'l anthem
