Dear Emmett Hahn,
Please answer the following questions. If the answer to any of the questions is "No", please explain/justify.
- Will the new head rule reduce cost?
- Will the new head rule encourage growth?
- Will the new head rule enhance the show?
- Will the new head rule improve safety?
Anytime a rule change is proposed, I would suggest that you apply these four simple questions. If and when the answer is "No", the rule should be challenged and in most cases discarded.
I would also like to point out that the 360 division lost approximately 100 cars in 2014, primarily due to inflation and lack of leadership. 360 groups across the nation are now looking for an alternative.
You can't cater to a few marquee teams and expect to survive, there simply aren't enough of them. Unlike Guy Webb, you're going to need some B and C's.
Regards,
Extremely Disappointed

I think the new head rule is to make it so everyone who has been cheating are now legal. And to tell the people who have been HONEST and legal what they have to do to keep up.

I understand/agree. In other words, the answer to the questions I posed is NO. Epic fail!

Won't matter in 5 years anyhow. 360's will be all but dead and gone. The Ascs has succeeded in pricing themselves right out of business. Once the Ascs family gets its hooks into the 305 seen, it will do the same thing to them. (But they won't be getting my money because I'm not paying to watch 305's)
The positive in this scenario is the 410 ranks will see a continue resurgence.

Yes, I do believe comments posted online find their way back to Emmett. Social media can be a powerful tool, just ask Guy Webb! I also think this issue is incredibly important...
There were approximately 1500 active 360's in 2014. If you factor in those teams who have multiple engines and 410 teams who run select 360 shows, this decision will affect more than 2000 power plants.

Lets be really honest, that 41 team was one of the teams they catered too. I agree the 360's are losing it and I will be at a lot more 410 races this year. But I go to whats around, as always. I just find it odd now the backers of those big teams feel the need to stab the ASCS in the back for making heads they've run for years legal.

No rules seems to work at Chili Bowl.Over 300 entries with $10K to win.I saw Emmett Hahns interview with Dave Despain and the ASCS head was what helped 360 racing and one rule change and allowing people to run illegal heads in the past have set it back. All they had to do was enforce the rule[ and it did happen although rarely] and would have saved several thousands for all the teams including the ones with extra porting as now they have to do more.I think Blake Hahn is related so it will cost them too.

In my opinion I hope he keeps doing stuff like this, its just another nail in the coffin of the 360's.The package has ran it's course and will soon be gone due to no longer being cost effective. The 360 engines have strayed way too far from what they were in the beginning.

There's probably more ASCS 360s sitting around the country, at least in the midwest for sure, than any other motors. Too bad it's went this way. It was a fun and not so expensive class when we got in a few years ago. You could actually compete with a legal motor you built yourself. We have one and it did. But ever since Tommy Estes left it's been going the wrong direction. Oh well. Nothing lasts forever. I don't know enough about motors to know if just running the gasket would even them up enough or not. Maybe even a gasket on both sides. But I'm not too interested in having to push the rules, even as vague as the are, and just hope they don't decide to make an example of out us. I also don't like not knowing what we're racing against. If it was an open class that's one thing but that's not what we signed up for when we got into 360s. I have a feeling we're not alone in our opinion.

Tire rule is the best way. Put D3b's on both rears! Late Models run lots of different motors but the competition is close.

Many of us saw the writing on the wall when the Ascs lost Tommie Estes AND Lonny Wheatley. Now add to the mix a "national" schedule with 27 nights listed and not all of those are actually confirmed. The Ascs has priced and bullied themselves into a corner.

Emmett's just trying to get to 2016 as soon as possible. I heard he's already sold the series to Lucas Oil and they are completely taking over the series in 2016...

Lucas oil needs to go with either the NSL or the WoO! Let the B leaugers go back to regional stuff.
