Something for USAC/CRA Sprint Car fans to look forward to when the series hits the track 70 days from today. Perhaps the best rookie crop in the series history with Stephen Limon, Anthony Lopiccolo, Tommy Malcolm, Trent Williams and Parker Colston. There may be a few others as well.

Was a kid living in the San Diego area in the Jasper Lopiccolo days but sometimes could pick up the KTLA telecasts from Ascot with Dick Lane. Who could forget a name like Jasper Lopiccolo?

I sure would like to see some of the jalopy races on KTLA from the fiftys.Are they gone or what?My dad built several cars back then.Also the thur nite thunder races from ventura would be nice.

Dean, go to youtube and type in "Thursday Night Thunder." You will find some . Also, if you type in "jalopy racing," you will find some of those, but not sure if there will be any of the KTLA shows.
