Just wanted to give a big shout-out to those that produce the MAV TV Knoxville Raceway Dirt Dreams show each week.  I have enjoyed that show so much each Thursday.  As an Ohio guy who doesn't get the chance to head West, the show has helped me learn more about the Knoxville regulars.  It is well-produced and professionally narrated.  To whoever produces that show show - good job!

Very good show.  There is a TON of stuff packed in that little half hour show.

That sucks. Honestly Rev, I only watch MavTV on Thursday evenings - though I am probably missing some other programs.  I saw where they are showing the final night of the Chili Bowl though.

your  right  Mr. Larsonfan they are doing a great  job and its only the begginning . Mr Patison of MAVTV tells me they plan on expanding there racing coverage. I dropped Comcast because they didnot have MAVTV . Dave Despain interviews have been great as well. Write to MAVTV about there coverage or any other ideas you might have and they will reply .

No MAV TV here on Midco in Forest Lake, Minnesota, either.  I used to have a DSL internet connection and Dish, then DirectTV for a couple years but they offered a bundled deal for high speed interent and TV.  Have to stick with that because of the price break.  I dropped the DSL and Dish because they wouldn't reposition my dish to the southeast satellite where there were no trees in the way and the internet speed sucked.  Another reason I dropped Dish is that my wife and I both switched to cell phones when we got rid of DLS and the land line so they were charging me an extra $5 because they couldn't connect the DVR to a phone line.  I complained a couple of times and they'd waive the charge then it would show up on the bill again a couple months later.

MAV TV needs to get better coverage with the cable systems.  There's nothing I can do about it on this end.

P.S.  I grew up during a time when all we had was four channels on a black & white TV with knobs as big around as a softball and the only way to get racing info was to subscribe to NSSN.  Today even though I don't have MAV I can still follow races in real time and watch the highlights of most big races the next morning.  We didn't see any racing unless we went to the track and watched it live.  I think I'll be able to survive if Midco never adds MAVTV.  wink

If we tell them it's part of your master plan for the betterment of Sprint Car racing, can or will we get a discount?  And why don't you write letters, tell them who you are, and maybe, just maybe, the programming will get better and more widespread.

The programing will get better and more widespread or more available in time  ,so Mr. Patison said as he is President of MAVTV  . You see  I e-mailed him and that was his reply  a few weeks ago, Thanks  for your interest , Mr. Maddogg53

For what it's worth I went to the MAVTV website and sent their form letter to my cable provider.  I'm a captive audience with the cable companie's high speed internet and I had too many issues with Dish to ever want to go back to them.

I do get the Dirt Dreams shows and they are really well done.....  Sure wish they could get them on more systems as it would have to help the attendance at the Knoxville races....  The other shows on Thursday night are very good also....

I really like the new New zealand midget show and Dirty 30 is my favorite, gives you a chance to see different drivers and tracks you otherwise might never see. What happened to the Indiana Sprintcar show that was on last year, that was also a great little half hour of non winged racing. Not my cup of tea but they also cover late models and recently added a show covering weekly legends and bandalero races, all good stuff.

Haven't seen the midget show yet. A week or two ago I really liked the Knoxville show where they covered the big Australian race.

I am a late model fan, but damn, those Lucas lm races they show are snoozers! Can't wait for their Chili Bowl show!

Dirt Dreams is produced by Brandon Bingham of Bing Bang Media, local company in Iowa.  Brandon has a lot of passion for sprint car racing and Knoxville Raceway and his team does a great job.  If you don't currently have MavTV, please contact your cable or satellite provider and ask for it.  It is up to you the paying customers to help them determine what their markets want.  The more you ask for it the better.

Dirty 30 is also a great show by Sean Buckley (Jackslash).  His Flip the Switch show last year was well done, as was the Follow the Corn DVD series a few years ago as well.

I do like the documentary style of Dirt Dreams better as you get to learn more about the drivers and behind the scenes type of things.
