Heard he was going to be racing with the Midwest All-Stars August 24th at Bloomington. Any truth to this?

Whatever happened to his Craftsman Truck opportunity? I recall reading something about the team being sold and a driver change. Does that mean that Kraig no longer has a Nascar development program deal?

Yes he will!!!!
FINALLY!!!
Kraig Kinser will join the winged sprint cars of the O’Reilly Midwest All Stars make their inaugural visit to Bloomington Speedway on Friday, August 24, an event sponsored by the Indiana University Credit Union. Kinser is a Bloomington navtive and the 2005 Knoxville National Champion. He has only driven a sprintcar a few times since 2006 when he became a full time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver.
The Midwest All Stars are led by current points leader Jerrod Hull of Sikeston, MO., hard charging veteran Rob Standridge, A.J. Bruns and two-time feature winner Jimmy Hurley, all from Springfield, IL, and Missouri’s Tim Montgomery. In their first season of competition, the series presented an exciting event at Paragon Speedway, on July 7, that saw Danny Smith hold off Bud Kaeding for the win. Local racers fared well with the wing at Paragon as veteran Kevin Briscoe ran third, followed by Kyle Cummins, with Tom Bush taking fifth. Arin McIntosh, Jared Fox, Bill Rose and Paul May also competed with the All Stars at Paragon. Obviously the O’Reilly Midwest All Star regulars will have their hands full when they unload at Bloomington. The feature will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start.

"I hope to be around Sprint Cars in some way until the end of my days. I hope I never leave this great sport...".-Kraig Kinser, August 14th, 2005.
We should of not let him go to begin with, but welcome back Boy-O. Hope he sticks with it for a while.

I spoke with Dana Kinser at the t-shirt trailer the week of the Nationals and things were up in the air because of the Ginn-DEI merger. Ginn hasn't lived up to their promises with trucks, Busch, and ARCA, races this year. But they're hoping DEI will see something in Kraig and bring him along, but he is small potatos in the grand scheme of this merger. So they likely won't know anything for a while yet.
I think Kraig has the talent, but he needs a break. It's not like he can buy a few rides here and there and try to make a name for himself in nascar. Someone like a Tony Stewart needs to help him out, like Tony helped Kasey Kahne and J.J. Yeley get their foot in the door.

Kraig has the genetics and the learning curve as well as a built in fan base. Give him a break Teresa, his predecessors were as tough as Ralph and Dale sr.
