Kossuth County Racing and Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame inductee Daryl Arend sends word that Terry McCarl plans to join “Sprint Car 101, an Afternoon with Norm Wiemers” this weekend. “Sprint Car 101″ will take place Sunday, November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. This event is held in partnership with the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Kossuth County Ag & Motorsports Museum is located on the fairgrounds on Hwy 169 south in Algona, IA.
Wiemers qualified for the very first Knoxville Nationals, while McCarl finished in sixth in this year’s event. Each will bring a unique perspective to history and current events in racing.
McCarl’s first three feature wins in sprint cars came at the controls of Algona, Iowa’s #1A sprint car owned by Arend. That car, related trophies, plus the car Wiemers drove to an incredible 27 wins in a row, are on display at our museum. Details about “Sprint Car 101″ are at www.KossuthMuseum.com.
