I noticed where Jason Johnson was protested on Saturday, presumably for illegal heads. I am curious to see the out come of this. From what I understand most of the heads on the ASCS frontrunners are questionable in terms of allowed porting. If ASCS doesn't strictly enforce the integrity of their spec head, it will really diminish what they have built over the years. Also, I think they should use a unbiased 3rd party to inspect the heads. Brodix has a lot to loose if a bunch of illegal heads start popping up.

What exactly does Brodix have to loose? Considering their arrangment with ASCS, it's doubtful that they would produce and sell a head that doesn't meet the specs. Therefore, If the heads are found to be illegal, that alteration had to have taken place after the heads left the facility, right? This, meaning that the engine is not legal and proper steps taken to change the outcome of the race. However, I do agree that a third party should be involved in the inspection. One never knows what takes place behind closed doors.

ASCS is slowly diminishing in the upper midwest.
It's called the National Sprint League.
