NSL Welcomes Natalie Sather as Marketing Director!

Windom, MN (November 12, 2014) – The National Sprint League is pleased to welcome Natalie Sather on board as Marketing Director.  Natalie will have a variety of duties with the series including marketing, apparel and pit reporting.

“I am really looking forward to this next adventure in my career and am very excited Tod Quiring has brought me on board,” says Natalie.  “Taking on the role as Marketing Director, my goals along with the help of Tod Quiring are to make this series a thriving organization that drivers and fans can look forward to attending our events.”

Natalie entered her first go-kart race at nine, and has had a passion for racing since.  She advanced into sprint cars after winning a go-kart title in 2001.  After racing competitively at the Knoxville Raceway, with the World of Outlaws, All Stars, ASCS and in Australia’s premiere racing series, she joined NASCAR’s “Drive for Diversity” to race on asphalt.  She ran in the NASCAR Whelen Series for three seasons, placing 25th overall and finishing fifth in the competitive Virginia States point championship.

In 2012, Natalie pursued a career in reporting, producing interviews with drivers and their team members.  In 2013, she began her career as a race reporter for the World of Outlaws.

“During the past two years, I’ve enjoyed being on the other side of the microphone,” she says about her time with the World of Outlaws.  “My racing experience and the relationships I have developed with drivers during my racing career, gave me the experience and connections necessary to excel as I pursued my career as a race reporter.  Now I will take these connections and relationships I have developed over the years to the National Sprint League in helping them transcend to a top racing series.”

It's almost as if Todd Quiring knows something about how to run a business.  Smile

the NSL is moving in the right direction by controlling the travel requirements for racing with the series.

it doesnt take a rocket scientist to look at the travel / hotel costs of coast to coast trucking to realize the value of strengthening the regional racing scene.

ever hear of posse soil?

Super choice!  I too like Natalie a lot.  Both as a driver and behind a microphone.  I hope this new series is a huge success.  I'll do my best to support you at as many races as I'm able.  I think this is a great thing for sprint car racing here in the midwest.  Best of luck you guys (and gals!)

I think its a good move..She comes from a racing family from way back..I remember watching Denny Sather race in Fargo years ago and made the trip to Winnipeg to race on the pavement at Brooklands Speedway..Can't remember the car # but was sponsored by WWW Wallwork Ford out of Fargo..Was Ford powered...Her family owns Gateway Chevrolet and another dealership in Fargo..She's got some business smarts and knows racing..She will do well...

So I know she had been following the WoO before she started working for them because she was going with Darrah. Is she not with him anymore or just going to do her own thing? Either way, super hire for the NSL!

I was wondering if hiring Natalie was a sign of things to come for Cody?  I don't know if he would do any better with this series, but it seems like something needs to change with him.

The National Sprint League is assembling a formidable staff of competent and well versed folks. They are apparently doing everything in the proper order of building a basic brain trust and moving forward from that point. The NSL could become a major player in sprint car promotions and challenge others, WoO, All Stars, USAC etc., to follow suit. Hats off to Mr. Quiring for this step forward.

Challenge the WoO series?  How can they do that when their full intentions now and in the future is to be a midwestern series running in 4 or 5 states in the upper midwest?

Best wishes to Natalie Sather, who has proved one thing for certain and that is she does a great job at interviewing drivers.  Not bad to look at either (an understatement fo shure).

He said challenge them to follow suit. Meaning  his business model. His hiring good people. Etc.

If this series works out the way it has been laid out and discussed to this point, it could threaten the WoO full time followers in the future.  The Kahne cars, TSR's cars, and probably Keneric are always going to be Outlaws.  They have big money and big sponsors so that makes sense.  But these regional series are providing a lot more options for those 2nd tier cars (Sides, Saldana, Kinser, McMahan) that, let's face it, probably don't have nearly the budget that the teams mentioned above do.  The points fund is strong and they pay pretty well at each event.  Lots of racing in a specific region, with the freedom to race when and where you want outside of the series, may have some appeal to those teams.
