I never really paid any attention to what the "World Finals" paid out....but I looked at the results Sunday morning and saw that the payout for winning each WoO feature was $12,000. Is that correct?
Look, I know they are paying out point fund money at the banquet, but I always assumed that for a race as hyped as the "World Finals", this event would be a really big deal, and the prize money to win Saturday night would be a bit more inflated? Like at least $20,000?
I am not complaining, just commenting...

Not complaining but your right it should pay more , look at Oval Nationals at Perris 20,000 to win and am sure World finals made more money .

I think it's a joke that the WOO finals only paid $12000. to win. It should be at least $25000.

Keep in mind the purse is 30k tonwin and 2 grand to start per night if you combine the divisions. Total purse of approx 260k makes it the 2nd biggest event in dirt track racing.

People also seemingly fail to forget that the WoO Late Models are also $12,000 to-wiin each night and the Big-Block Modifieds are $8,000 to-win each night. Most tracks are afraid to risk one of these series for one night let along all 3 series for 2 full nights. How many places are willing to put u $350,000+. It's also a very reasonably priced event to attend.
The purses were raised last year so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again here in the future as the event seemingly gets bigger and bigger every year.

Thank you for the response.....I follow the sprints and mostly ignore the other stuff and didn't know the payout for the other classes....makes sense!

No problem...I think a lot of people look at it from that standpoint. I know I had similar thoughts years ago when they were just regular paying events, but attending the last four years and looking at the overall picture you can see why the event is such a big deal.
