I'm sure Mr. Saldana didn't make himself any new fans after the rude, and disrepectful comments he made in his post race interview tonight. When asked by Heather Henderson about how he enjoyed his weekend racing in Edmonton he said he couldn't wait to get outta here and get to Washington. The other competitors interviewed in victory lane seemed much more respectful about racing here for the first time, even though they did not win. Hey I'm always willing to give a driver the benefit of the doubt, but what you said was just plain ignorant. I understand the disappointment you feel losing to Schatz yet AGAIN but you showed no class tonight. To Mr. Saldana, maybe your car owner could spend a few bucks on some PR classes for you. "We can't wait for you to get outta here!!!!"

why does WoO fine drivers for saying a$$hole or bullsh*t?...........those are somewhat harmless vices I think...........but completely disrespecting paying fans like Saldana did, thats more disgraceful than any f bomb one could rop in victory lane.

He coulda just said "this shit is gettin old (getting spanked by Schatz), but we're still 2nd in points - it may be a long shot - but its still a shot - and thank you to all the fans for comn out tonight, hope you enjoyed the show" yeah coulda said somthin like that. I mean sure you would still have all these tight-wads complaining about the "s word", but 95% of the paying crowd would enitrely understand those setiments. jmo.

Couldn't agree with you more OKC. I'm sure there were many newbies in attendance who were watching the WoO for the first time. I'm sure they will leave with a bit of a bad tase in their mouths. Too bad. Hope they give Mr. Saldana an equally warm reception next year when the Outlaws return.

he didn;t let a cuss word slip - I along with most understand those. The guy insulted the crowd. And who the hell are you to call those paying fans assholes? It doesn;t matter what nationality they are......they were paying fans just as you or I when we attend races. Funny if Schatz made that remark you'd probably be all over it. But oops it was your guy so in defense you call that crowd of paying fans - the same fans who basically paid saldana over 5 grand for finishing 2nd----assholes. In my opinion - the worst thing a driver can do is insult fans who paid to watch him race. Without the fans - canadian, american, or australian----- his talent wouldn't matter - Saldana wouldn't be racing. I wonder which the idiot did first - insult the crowd or take their money. The only assholes in this is Joey Saldana ------ and yourself.

I'll take the honor of letting you in on a secret........sprint car fans are all the same. whether they are american, australian, or canadian, or from new zealand for that matter. they all pay money to watch a sport they love. without em........sprint car racing is dead. holding that view in fact makes those you call assholes a hell of a lot better than you.

PS, not defending Joey I think he was mis understood, KINDA. I think he was mis understood in what he said 70% and 30% he just wanted to get the hell out of Canada for many reasons including border crap they dealt with for a 2nd time. Plus the pressure of not as many wins but more constant finishes for a close second

OKCFan - I've given up trying to show BSpielz how much of a dumb#ss he really is. You are completely correct - if Schatz made that comment he would have been all over him. Instead he would insult over 6,000 people that paid their hard earned money to watch Joey race and then complain that Schatz whipped him again.

bspielz is the #sshole here and just can't take that his driver isn't getting it done. Shouldn't have gotten rid of Warner!!!!

These press releases do not include what the drivers say during the victory lane interviews with Heather Henderson. He was very insulting to the fans and I have never heard that loud of boos over the dirtvision broadcast. The fans were pissed. I could see if one or two people took it wrong, but we are talking about 6,000+ people that took it as being very insulting.

I wish these press releases did include the victory lane interviews, but they do not. I think that most people do not realize that. If you don't listen to the broadcast, you never know what they said. That's the bad part about it.

Plain and simple-All drivers should be greatful to the fans ,sponsors and car owners. No fans=no sponsors=no car owners= NO JOB.

I say cut him a break. It was just after a race. He is frustrated and from what I have been reading he didn't say HEY I HATE CANADA. I usually can't wait to get out of a race track either and head home after a bad night of racing. I think some of you guys look into things way too much. I Think that's what he meant more than anything. Could be wrong but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Joey has been a downer all year in interviews always implying he is fearing he'll be fired at the end of the year.

I like Joey and think he is a heckuva driver but his interviews are about as exciting as listening to a wet rag dry.

I dont think this has anything to do with bad attitude .As for calling people a holes Idont think everyone is perfect .As for going back there i dont think so to much trouble getting in and out .Its over why not ask Joey why he saidwhat he said then we will no the truth instead of everyone saying things they dont know what they are taking about.
