This is the only "schedule" I could find. I usually get there early during the day and just hang around myself until "stuff" gets going. Hope you have a great time.

Go to the Sequoia National Park. You wont regret it. Make time no matter what. If you can find some more time on your journey out to California you should try to hit Yosemite. Again a bucket list type of experience.
The area right around Tulare itself is pretty much all ag land with not a whole lot of tourist appeal. Lots and lots of dairy cattle along with the flies and smell that comes along with them. Tulare county is the largest dairy county in the country. This is agriculture on a large scale. Tulare county was the number 1 agriculture producer in the country for 2013. They get high yields per acre even though the county isnt enormous itself.
Top 10 Commodity Crops 2013 Value
1. Milk $2,083,354,000
2. Grapes $984,879,000
3. Oranges $854,693,000
4. Cattle & Calves $687,960,000
5. Pistachios $271,206,000
6. Walnuts $262,094,000
7. Almonds $256,516,000
8. Corn & Silage $256,218,000
9. Nectarines $234,900,000
10. Alfalfa Hay and Silage $175,598,000
Cheers!

When Tulare says hot laps at 4, qual at 5 believe them. I always think, yeah they will start later, but they run a tight schedule especially for the trophy cup. Sometimes they get delayed with fence repair they really need to replace the rest of the fence after doing the front stretch.
50 lap A main on Saturday never disappoints, hell the B main is better than most A mains i see all year, but with a full invert with the A, well u just have to experience it yourself.

PS 1. Yosemite is a MUST
2. 2014 California Hot Rod Reunion - October 17-19

I might check this out, never been there myself, but heard good things.
NOT MUCH TO DO IN TULARE THAN BENCH RACE, I think the partiers go to Visalia or Tachi (Indian reservation). Alot of teams work on their cars in Tulare and Visalia in the mornings and also there is a movie theater and outlet stores.
the track normally offers some free food on Thursday or Friday (donations requested for Make A Wish). Haven't checked out the schedule this year.
But the best part of the weekend, besides making friends, is the A Main on Saturday. Been to 7, and each one gets better. I keep telling myself, it can not even be close to last years, and if u saw Larson/Sweet battle, u say the same.
