I know right, who would want a former WoO Champion with...what 6 Knoxville Nationals wins to drive their car. Especially in the Midwest and KNoxville if the deal goes into next year.
There is a difference between not liking a driver, thinking they should have taken a chance on someone younger, and just making a trolling dumb comment

How much have these cars changed in say the past ten years? Kind of like riding a bike if you ask me.

I am by no means a Dude fan, but when was the last time he had equipment underneath him that was of the consistent quality of Big Game. The best car he has been in in the last 5-6 years was Zemco, and that was a part time deal at best that only Stevie has really run consistently well with in the last decade.
Again, if you want to make the statement that Tod should have gone with a younger guy like Bell (is he even available) that's fine, but don't act like Lasoski has forgotten how to drive, and aside from maybe McCarl, there is no one else active who has as many laps as him at Knoxville, which seems to be a big deal to this team.

I can name a couple of drivers who were really good in the Zemco car, so get your facts straight. Lasoski makes sense with the situations on both sides

Yep 15-20 World of Outlaws wins since the Stewart car. I would say that has not done anything.

I am not going to get into a p--sing match over this, and the Zemco car is a car that is always capable of winning wherever it shows up, but in the last decade who has consistently won in that car.
Sean Michael...good but not a ton of wins
Stevie Smith-was good/great, one of the few that seems to run good when part time.
Lucas Wolfe-good qualifier, ran good in Speedweek, but not consistent
Jeff Shepherd-was good, but how many years ago did he run the car
Leppo-Not great, but was only in the car a few weeks
Lasoski-won a race or two, but not consistent, but was also travelling from midwest every week and little to no other involvement on the car.
I am sure I am missing a driver or two who had the car for a little bit (how long did Hafertepe run the car)....Pauch was a long time ago....who else, besides Stevie has been consistent recently. If I am missing somebody, please tell me, because that's who I remember in recent history, but my memory is not always perfect.
Nothing against the car, it is one of my favorite rides in Sprint cars....but it is tough to be consistently good in a part time ride which the car has been the last years. That being said, whenever it shows up, no matter who is in it, it needs to be taken as a legitimate threat. On a side note, the fact that running part time is this difficult just makes what Stevie has done in the 51 that much more impressive this year.

Still more Knoxville Nationals wins than everyone not named Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz or Doug Wolfgang.
+97 other Knoxville wins which no one else comes anywhere close to.
