The new Midwest 410 Series, brain-child of Todd Quiring, has decided to kick thier first season off at the historic 1/3 mile high banks of Eagle Raceway.
The inaugural race will be Friday May 8th, 2015.
An additional $20,000 is available if one of the competitors can sweep the Eagle/Knoxville weekend!!!
More details to come as they are available.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Will this race be promoted like the Super Nationals or The Governor's Cup?

I think you mean Nebraska Cup. I'm sure they will promote more than this year's Cup.

Sounds like a great way to jump start the series. I like it. It should bring cars to Eagle and make the finish at Knoxville potentially even more exciting. Good for the fans and drivers!

Plus they have 4 dates at Knoxville. May 9, June 27 ($5000 to win) July 4 and Aug 29 ($5000 to win).

If a driver wins Eagle and Knoxville the next night its a extra $20000. Then the midwest series has a $350000 point fund and Knoxvilles is $250000. Is knoxvilles $250000 for the 410s or all 3 classes? Either way that some huge $$$$. Ive never heard a purse for a show for the midwest series.

I believe the $250000 figure is for all 3 clsses at Knoxville.
The standard MOSS purse I think was said to be $3000 to win and $500 to start. With some $5000 to win shows and possibly a $50000 to win show.

MOSS returns. If you know about the ASCoC, you'll understand.

Is there a MOSS press release for this - or still just rumor. I bet every Friday show that goes next to a Knoxville show is going to be a premium date considering the amount of cars that you can draw as a combination with Knoxville.
I expect eagle and I-80 to take advantage of this, but it will be interesting to see who else does.

Not to split hairs, but I did not see anywhere stating that the race at Eagle was going to be the first of the year. I just believe that it is the earliest race that has been announced. I would imagine that we will see some other shows in the April time frame. It is going to be hard to have 30 shows and not race in April.

Please bring 410's down to Southern Missouri/Arkansas/Oklahoma. I just moved here and all they have is local 360 racing.

The only bad thing about this announcement is that in early May, rain is the most likely sweep we'll see that weekend.
Negatively aside, I sure hope this series can help some of the young local drivers in eastern Nebraska justify going 410 racing. If this series and the WoOs come into Nebraska 6-8 times a year to run Eagle, I-80 and McCool Junction... maybe, just maybe more of them will jump up to 410's and hit some of the surrounding shows also like Husets, Knoxville, Bellevue. Might even help bring WoO around more often.
