Best wishes to you young man. Think you are a class act. Have heard many good things about you .
if I remember correctly you did win or come in 2nd last year and got a bad rap because of a transponder location.

not elilgible for WoO points??? If nothing else, that to me is a travesty. Uneligible because he wasn't a Platinum driver at the beginning of the season.

not eligible because he missed WoO races? Seems pretty normal you wouldn't be eligible for a point fund unless you ran 100% of the races!

I'm also forgoing Fremont to witness my first Trophy Cup.... oh wait, I never had plans to go to Fremont either...
Good luck to Watertown, Ct.'s ONLY sprint car driver. Used to hang out there... The Shack, great rock'n roll emporium. Maybe Dave's Dad recalls it... or his Grandpa????

Gravel has earned more driver points than 4 of those PLATINUM full-time Outlaws but is ineligble for points fund (but they make sure to list EVERYONE who even ran a race with them in their point rundown. No other race organization does this, they only list those running for the Championship.

The car owner Roth Motorsports currently sits 7th in owner points and will receive a point fund check. As the article states Roth #83 will be at Fremont with another driver to maintain their "Platinium" status.

It doesn't look to me like their the only series that lists the amount of points for every driver that has raced with them, whether every race or 1.

Do they have anyone in the Top 10 in points that doesn't race with them full time?
Nope....
So the real ? is would they pay out a point fund check if someone was in the top 10 in points but not a fulltime traveler??
I'd guess that Lucas Oil Late Models would (they see it as another way to gain a car on the tour the following year).
ASCS - they have enough regional series that I'd say everyone listed is a member of ASCS in some form or fashion (whether it be a National Driver or a Regional driver).
The WoO has ALWAYS had issues even way back when (Terry McCarl has stated NUMEROUS times that his point fund check when he ran for WoO Rookie of the Year didn't exist. he got an empty envelope...

That is a shame for this kid. He is sitting 9th in points. Last year 9th in points pays $32,000. That is a lot of money for a young guy just because he did not sign up at the begining of the year and then had a career year, winning in muliple cars.

Think it's kind of a joke to only pay out 100% attendees. If someone is good enough to put together enough points in a paying position or is smart enough to schedule it out to work that way then they deserve the money. Prety awful.

Good point, he earned it, but they're trying to make sure cars show up for all the races. How would you like it if you traveled a long way & your favorite driver, or a big gun you rooted against, didn't show up??

The car did show up, David wasn't hired to drive it full-time until some races had been ran already (Tim Kaeding was signed as the PLATINUM driver yet never finished the season (in the Roth 83 or any other car).
I'm not a fan of his, but the WoO screwed Cody Darrah out of his RoY check too. And for the record, I feel that Randy Hannagan has gotten screwed the past couple of years too because he didn'tgo to the "banquet".

I'd take it as a lesson in that life is full of many, many disappointments and that expectations should not be too high.
