I'm not a silver crown guy, so I was wondering what is the cubic inch of a USAC silver crown car? I see that there were a hand full of silver crown cars representing Toyota Racing at Eldora. So Toyota is taking names in two USAC series why are they not making 410s for the non wing guys too?

Maybe I missed it, but is anyone testing or running a Toyota 410?

The real nationals are in Little Rock

I don't think that the Winged 410's that Bell is running are Kunz cars. The 1 he ran at Eldora last weekend was the #53 of Fox Bros. Racing.

Goodwin said that Toyota is represented in all 3 classes of USAC, not winged 410 racing.

Kunz has a winged sprint. Christopher has driven it a couple of times this year.

We were one of the two first factory backed sprint car teams with motors supplied direct from TRD in 2008 and they were Toyota owned motors.  We also had at least one TRD engineer at every race with us that year  The reason the Toyotas are only in Silver Crown and not 410 racing is that Toyota only has a cast iron block.   We were told we would have aluminum blocks by mid season, so we signed on and started running the iron block motors which were heavy.   Unfortunately that spring they dropped the aluminum block development when the economy took its toll on the auto makers and we opted out of the deal after the first year.   Horsepower numbers were better than our Chevys, but the car was 100 lbs over the minimum weight dry with Ti everything and a full carbon fiber body on the car.  Toyota worked on the weight in subsequent years, such as when Kody and Tanner Swanson were running them with success, but they still are too heavy for a dirt 410 sprint car.
