For those coming from the east traveling on I-80 better leave a bit early due to the Nebraska football game.

7 P.M. kickoff. I would be at the track by 3 on saturday to beat westbound traffic from Omaha.

I'd think if you plan to arrive at the track around 6:00 or 6:15 (an hour before start time) the football traffic on I-80 should be done by then.  The football crowd will be clogging I-80 all afternoon because of the late start so getting there four hours early might be an exercise in futility...

As has been stated because of the late start of the Nebraska game traffic should be spread out through the afternoon. I-80 is three lanes wide from Omaha to Lincoln. For racers get there early for fans either early or about 6:30 as NU traffic will have died down

How come they don't have two for one pit-passes?  oh well still go to the races three nights in a row cheaper than a football game at Lincoln!   Suppose they will let my helicopter land out there so I don't have to get mad at all the traffic?

And...............Dont forget, Friday night at the conclusion of the races, go to your car and grab your cooler and lawn chairs as we are going to have a 2 man acoustic band playing by the name of Dallas Hendrix (www.dallashendrix.com). Great music and the weather is looking awesome for a night to hang around the racing family and drink a few cold ones. Hell, I am probably going to put a pillow and blaket in my truck as it may be a good night to sleep at the track.  Look forward to seeing you all during and after the races. FYI, the band gig is all being paid by I-80 Speedway so dont worry there is no additional cost to any of us with the exception of maybe the cost of a good ol fashioned hang over! See you all next week!!

If you really want to watch the races in comfort, call the I-80 Speedway office at (402)-342-3453 from 8 to 4 on week days and get a backstretch parking spot. Park your camper on the backstretch pull out your lawn chairs have your own food & beverage and get two pit passes for all three days for only $250.
