The 410 Sprints always put on a show at the Bullring in Grand Forks and last night was no exception! Mark Dobmeier and Sioux Falls, SD native Dusty Zomer battled their way through traffic to decide the winner. Check out the highlights below:

Good race. I need to get up there sometime. The close calls through traffic were very exciting and Dob got a heck of a run out of 4 those last laps but Zomer had his number in turns 1 and 2. Zomer has looked really good in the 82 car recently. Id think he would be a good contender at The Jerry Richart Memorial and Husets Season Championship.

Definitely the most deserving driver to be in that car in a long time. I hope they didn't fire him foe winning/i know-if they did its their choice and im lucky they put a car on the track and i should buy my own car if i know so much and its all none omy business.

Dusty is 2 for 2 this weekend, winning the IRA sprint car feature @ Superior Wi on Friday over Craig Dollansky & Ian Madsen

Dobs was running his 360 motor in this race, just something to consider....

So are you calling him great for finishing 2nd with a weaker motor or dumb for not putting in the big horses?

That 82 car has had more riders than Rosie Smile

I tell it like I see it.

Neither.  I'm just saying consider the circumstances.  The outcome may have been different had the 13 been in a 410. Most would expect the 13 to win at RCS starting from the pole on a regular race night - in a 410 or 360. But with Zomer there and being in better equiptment than the rest of the field, that posed a greater challenge for the 13.  Although I think the result is still surprising.  In my opinion, if the 13 was in a 410 that night there's no doubt he would have won.  But I'm not praising nor bashing the fact he chose to run a 360, it's what he typically has been running there the majority of the year on regular race nights.

This conversation can end.  Mark had a 410 in on Thursday.  He did have one in there the week before 360 Nationals and won.  That was it...

Doubtful. Not with the 13's experience at that track. He has over 100 wins there, Zomer now has 1. If a 360 was a better option, then the 13 would run the 360 during the Outlaw shows - but he doesn't. The difference is noticeable between the 13's 360 and 410 on that track, he has extra drive off the corners and straightaway speed in the 410. There's no way he would have gone from 24th to 6th in August's WoO show there in the 360. (Which, by the way, he blew by Zomer in the process).

Calling the 82 team a 'penalty box' doesn't change the type of equipt they have.  They're may be questions surrounding how team 82 is run, but there are no questions regarding the quality of equipt they've got.

DING DING DING.  WE HAVE A WINNNER!!!!! Yep, the winner for stupidist post of the month has arrived.  Bill W. does the PR releases for the 13 team.  I am sure he knows what is going on in regards to what motor was run.  Also, by Thirteen stating that better equipment won the race is a total case of "calling the kettle black" in regards to what Dobmier runs against on a weekly basis in Grand Forks.  Congrats on your win this month Thirteen!

Mark has only run the 360 once this year at RCS (he won).  He had a 410 in.  He just got beat.  Don't have to defend him.  We know he's the best at RCS.  There was a rut at the top of one and two that he was really struggling with.  Mark runs best at the top so I'm sure his plan was to wind it up and go up there.  Without the rut, Mark wins.  But it was the same for Dusty too.  Just got beat.  It happens.

I overlooked and did not see Bill W's post. But thanks for being a complete dick with regards to my mis-understanding of the situation.

Thanks Bill W, I stand corrected!
