NEXT AMSOIL USAC/CRA SPRINT RACE: September 5 – Watsonville, California – Ocean Speedway – “California Sprint Week”

The first sprint heat race was simply wonderful. Wow! The main event turned into a yellow flag festival. I felt bad for Jake Swanson in the Moosemobile. He was all over Mike Spencer like flies on feces when he overcooked it in turn four. Bud Kaeding was all over the place, seemingly out of control.

    All in all a very good show for $15. Parking is free and they have free shuttles to take you from the parking lot to the ticket booth. The shuttles were available after the races also. They also had a band there to entertain the fans after the races were over.

    The pits are way back behind the back straight and turn four. I trudged across the infield, talked to some of the people in the pits then trudged back to the stands, past the milling crowd listening to the music to where my car was parked and still was home by 11.

wow Harry 35 sprint cars in one place down south we're lucky if we get 25 are you coming down for the Ovals?
