LoneStar Texas Sprint & Factory Stock Event Updates

Kilgore, TX (9/11/14) by DarinShort.com. We've been receiving quite a few questions and comments from fans and race teams planning on taking in the Texas Sprint Car Championships and Texas Factory Stock Championships at LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, October 11th.

Here's the Q & A, so everyone will know:

Q: Will overnight camping with hookups be available at the LoneStar Campgrounds located on site?

A: YES. Go to www.darinshort.com/armcamping.html for general camping information. Note that the page is currently programmed for the Sept. 25-27 Armadillo Nationals, but camping spaces for October 11th will be $25 and you will simply go to the ticket office upon your arrival on Oct. 11 and tell them you want a camping space with hookups and they will fix you up. We will not pre-sell camping spaces for Oct. 11.

Q: LoneStar Speedway rules for the Factory Stocks?

A: YES. All posted FS rules at www.LoneStarSpeedway.com will be enforced - no 'one time pass' exceptions will be allowed.

Q: Entry fee or pre-registration in either class?

A: NO. There is no entry fee or track registration fees. Just pay your pit pass and that is it. Non-qualifier money will be paid in each division. $100 for Sprint Cars and $20 in Factory Stocks.

Q: What about mufflers?

A: NO mufflers are never required at LoneStar Speedway, unless your sanctioning body requires the use of them. Fans get to hear the raw power of the cars - just like the good 'ol days.

Q: Start times?

A: This event starts early, at 7pm, as the sun sets at 6:52pm on October 11; which will make for great racing conditions.

Thanks to everyone for their questions and interest in this event.

Click www.LoneStarSpeedway.com for complete event details, race flyer, purse breakdown and more...and see you in just 4 weeks at the Texas Sprint Car & Factory Stock Championships at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, TX!

Below are pictures of the Sprint Car and Factory Stock championship awards that the winners will receive on Saturday night, Oct. 11.

Note that this artwork will be mounted on a solid cherry wood backdrop, so it should look really cool against it.

The Sprint Car feature winner will receive $3,000 while the first Factory Stock to cross the stripe will take home $1,000.
