I hear that Dirt is paying $1000 to all 410 track champions from 2007, if they race all 6 nights at Volusia in Febuary 2008. Pretty cool if true. Can anyone confirm?

Maybe they will pay them with stock certificates. Sorry couldn't resist-everybody take cover!

Volusia Speedway will pay $1,000 to any 410 track or series champion that races all three nights of All Stars and all three nights of Outlaws races. This is totally true and a great concept.

With all the 410 tracks around, I couldn't be more than about 10 grand could it?

Anyone have the list of 410 tracks? Only two on the west coast: Silver Dollar and Skagit.

You can leave out Wayne County. They have raced twice the whole year.

Auto Tire & Parts Race Park in Benton, Missouri is missing from that list. They race 410's weekly on Friday nights. Tommy Worley Jr. has won eight of the 12 features run there so far this year. The other winners were Dale Howard, Joey Montgomery, Paul Hart, and Chad Blonde (MASS race).

From what John wrote above, 410 series champions as well as track champions are eligible for the $1000. That should push the list of drivers up.

You can take clinton county off that list too, they run 358's.
I think this is a great idea by the track.

410 Sprint Car Series around the country would include the All Star Circuit of Champions, Midwest All Star Series, IRA, Golden State Challenge, Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA), SCOA. Hopefully, all these series and most of the tracks will be represented.
I can see a time in the near future when we'll see tracks realize the need for regional series, all under a unified set of rules. Times, they are a-changin'.
I can also see a time someday soon where we'll be talking about Sprint Car Racing, instead of 410s, 360s, ect and promoters and sanctioning officials will focus on selling tickets and a more-focused identity for the sport.

If Volusia could find a sponsor, and get enough of the track/series champions to agree to show, they could create some type of champions challenge for the week. They could either use a points system or run a special feature on the final night for those cars who attended all the races.

I couldn't help but notice that Dobmeier, Reed, and George were all points leaders at multiple tracks..pretty impressive considering the stiff competition these days....anyone have a break out of feature wins for the point leaders??

Try this Oakland Sprint Fan..... www.ibracn.com
The list was given to me by Tom Schmeh of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum so if the list is incomplete, I apologize. There is also a winners list on my web site that is gathered to the best of my ability....I know I miss some such as the Benton, Mo races.....I'll try and do better. Have a good one.

Now the question will be. If you win the track championship at 2 tracks will DIRT give you $2000?
