With only Steve left now to what appears a part time racing schedule next year it is very painful to accept the "BIG THREE" ( Wolfgang, Kinser, Swindell) are gone. After Sammy's sudden retirement announcement just sitting here reminiscing about all the different rides I had the privilege to see him race. My top three Sammy rides are (1) TMC (2) Channel Lock (3) Hooters. When Sammy came out on the track at Knoxville Nationals piloting the black # 1 TMC Sprint Car I could only stare. Most beautiful car I had ever seen and still my all time favorite. I hope others will list their top three Sammy rides.

I'm not quite as old as everyone else, I've only seen pics of some of the older cars (TMC, Hooters, etc) so mine are:
1) Channellock 25 year car
2) Channellock normal scheme
3) Tom Rolfe trucking
honorable mention: Beaver 12x

He drove the Boops Aluminum car at Eldora in the early 80's. Was fastest in hotlaps and demolished it qualifying. Car owner said it was the worst driver choice he ever made.

TMC #1- It's reputation speaks for itself. God did it look good on the track
CHANNELLOCK #1- That powdery blue car..boy did it look good under the lights. Esp when the Outlaws carried the Cahnnellock banner as a sponsor..it just felt right.
BULL AND HANNAH'S- #1.....Not sure why but I always loved this car and is one of my favorite diecasts
