Sprintdudes.com OCRS Manufactures Performance Rankings
John Lemon OCRS Public Relations Tulsa Oklahoma (August 21, 2014) - Eagle Motorsports / STK Racing Engines are each on a hot streak as they continue to win races while piling up Sprintdudes.com Manufactures Performance Ranking points in the Oil capital Racing Series. For the third time in the last four OCRS events and the sixth time overall, STK Racing Engines have placed their bullets in victory lane. Alex DeCamp has wheeled two of the last three for STK with both wins coming at the Salina Highbanks Speedway while Kade Morton scored for the engine builder to start the run at the Humboldt Speedway on July 18th. Johnny ‘Hotrod’ Kent has been on a streak of his own for Wesmar Racing Engines. In the last four races, Kent has two runner-up finishes, a third and a fourth. All this for a driver who was sidelined most of the first half of the season. There was one change in top five engine builders this week as Fode Engines overtook Wornhor Engines for the fifth spot on the chart. STK leads DSO Racing Engines (47 points to 38) followed by Wesmar (23), Brand Racing Engines (21) and Fode Engines (20). Eagle Motorsports is riding the wave with DeCamp’s success as well but also with the success of Kent’s solid finishes too. These two drivers have delivered several needed points to the MPR rankings for Eagle. Brian McClelland’s runner-up finish to DeCamp last Saturday night in his XXX chassis kept Eagle from getting any more than a cushion than they already had. Like STK Engines, Eagle scored a series leading sixth win in OCRS competition last week. The chassis points chase sees Eagle leading with 53 markers, XXX chassis has 40, Maxim is next with 33, F5-Twister grabbing 30, ART chassis 27 and J&J has four points. The OCRS sprint teams are now headed for the second a and final visit to the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in south central Oklahoma. MPR points are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 point scale based on the top five A-Feature finishers. Only the highest finishing result per manufacture in the chassis and engine categories per event are awarded MPR points. For example, if brand X has two or more cars in the top five of the A-feature, MPR points are only awarded to the highest brands finisher for each category.
