Some good money being put up for the IRA and MOWA teams for the Bill Waite Jr Memorial Saturday at Lasalle. Lasalle is a great facility for sprint cars. My estimate is 35-40 cars for this event. Should be a good one and hopefully the fans pack the place again. Believe this is the only sprint car race at Lasalle this year.

First renegade show at Atomic is taking away about 4-5 cars right off the bat. Hoped for Danny Smith and Greg Wilson, but now unlikely?

I would love to make this race. Too bad it falls on the same weekend as Knoxville season championship night. If this race took place last week or next week Id be there along with some Knoxville regulars I'm sure. But hey if Knoxville gets rained out and runs next week its possible id make both. Probably wishful thinking.

I agree would have been great to have this race last weekend with Knoxville off but that has always been the traditional kenosha county fair race at Wilmot. Even with Knoxville running there will be a strong car count and a great show.

Trickyricky may be right about the Renegades possibly taking cars away from the IRA event. Looking at internet chatter and web audio talk shows, there is high hopes for the Renegade event and the OH / IL / IN guys are wanting to show there is another besides the All Stars. I thought I also heard somewhere that the Renegades will have a 15K at Atomic in late fall, with the event this weekend at Atomic as a proving ground.
I passed up the wings this weekend in OH (probably would have went to Atomic) to come up to WI and follow the Cornbelt Clash 3 day run. Hope the weather holds, kinda overcast and gloomy up here in WI right now!

August 21 - Luxemburg Speedway - cancelled per clash website. TONS of rain on the way for Plymouth today. Hope it is not too much.

I may end up at La Salle yet (it is on my way home, kinda)!
The pavement guys even cancelled tonight.... oh well, beer never rains out...

When they had this show on a Sunday night 2 yrs ago it was packed. I finiggled my way out there & would again if it was on Sunday night.
