I love it all but my personal preference is non-wing.     I've seen plenty of both and can honestly say I've never seen a bad non-wing race.   I've seen plenty of winged shows that had little or no racing at all, including the last ASCS show I saw at Devils Bowl.     I wish there were plenty of both to choose from in my area, but unfortunately it's not that way.

I love both of them. I also love midgets as well. I'm a bit spoiled with being able to watch winged cars at Knoxville every week, but any chance I get to see non-wing cars I take. I've always seen it as a very special treat.

I'm 62 been going to Knoxville all My life have seen lots of both, but prefer non-wing. Even drove to Eagle in Nebraska one night to see the non-wing guys from California while the Outlaws were 35 miles away in Knoxville. And always went to Osky to McCarls USAC show

I basically agree (tho I live in non-sprint car country!) Non wings are even better on a bullring, which is why I'm headed to Kokomo Smackdown!

I prefer winged myself. A little to do with where I live but they are just flat out fast. It is amazing to me how the wings helps those cars just stick to the track. The racing may not always be as good as nonwinged but when you get a good winged race it is hard to beat. The speed, the taking wind off the other guys wing going into the corners, and how maneuverable those cars can be through traffic all are great reasons why I like wings. Even so Im still up to watch a wingless races anytime I have the chance.

I definitely prefer non-winged.  Spent a lot of time at California Racing Association and later Sprint Car Racing Association non-wing races -- Ascot, Manzanita, Speedway 117, Santa Maria, Mesa Marin, Speedway 605, Chula Vista, Cajon Speedway, Bakersfield, Ventura, Tucson International Raceway (dirt track), etc.  Enjoy being able to see the drivers at work in their "offices."  Although admittedly it takes a tremendous amount of talent to drive either variety, I believe the non-wing cars are a little less stable.  In addition, I don't believe they stress the motor as bad.

I drive 1000 miles every July to watch Indiana Sprint week Non wing racing is just that racing. Wing racing to me is just get the car set up and push the gas to the floor. If it is set up correctly you do not have to lift.

I enjoy both, but I live in Wisconsin, and there are barely any non-wing shows. too bad too, because we have a lot of great tracks.

Thanks Kenny. That's cool.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I'm still looking for the photo of this car driving down the streets of San Diego California.

Non-wing all of the way. I have never been to a bad non-wing race, but I have seen a lot of ho hum winged shows.

Although I fully understand and appreciate the safety factor a wing provides, I will always be a traditional sprint car fan. Not even close.

With both Mazy and Ascot as my home tracks at different times in my life; well now you know where I'm coming from.

Never thought I would hear you say that NWFAN.

I started out watching non wing in the old days at Ascot, then later in life switched to wings and a few years ago back to non wing. Also love the midgets.
