Everywhere I see a story of this tragic situation, the title goes something like this:  Funeral held for driver KILLED by Tony Stewart.    A CBS story shows the title 'Praise for "small town boy" killed by NASCAR champ Tony Stewart'. Underneath that headline is a picture of pall bearers carrying his casket. My GOD, the whole country has gone berserk. At the very least, it should read "Killed" by a car that ony Stewart was driving.  That way it doesn't open them up to libel lawsuits. WOW......

sad to say but not too many people would be interested in the story if it said " funeral for driver who ran out on track and was killed in incident"

to get attention the media needs to play to the drama and create conflict. kind of like cubic and red and yellow.

to indy and beyond!!

The media has lost their minds and it happened many years ago when they started to believe everything they wrote.  I think back recently to Trayvon Martin and what we were showed about this angel such as pictures from many years before, not the Trayvon he had become.  The one that was kicked out of school for stealing and a well known local dealer in the pot game was quietly hidden in the background to suit the press and their rush to convict ol' goofy who was no Saint himself.

It goes on and on, in every facet of life, sadly.  They and 24 hour news have become too powerful in this day and age, reading, which is how we got most of our news for decades has become a lost art.  Thanks, good night......

A retired CBS journalist, who later became a professor of journalism, once told me 'if it bleeds, it leads'.  The majority of our news media have digressed to the level of grocery store tabloids.
