After one of the heat races yesterday afternoon, Dustin Selvage got out of his car and immediately went to the Brad Loyet pit area and started a brawl.  Then once the officials broke it up and left the area, one of his crew members started another brawl during the middle of the next heat race.  Everyone that I talked to could not believe that he was not sent packing after the 1st incident, let alone the 2nd one.  Looks like they were covering for one of their regular drivers in this situation.

PS--At virtually every other track, you are immediately booted when you enter someone else's pit area and start a fight.  Whomever, is making such decisions at Knoxville needs to do some serious re-thinking of things.

If we are bringing up favoritsm. I am still in shock they did not call the start back in Brian Brown's heat race. And I love the 21. That ruined Dale Blaney's entire week.

Read the Knoxville raceway rules. Fighting in pits is a $200 - $2000 fine. If flagrant there may be a suspension at the race directors discretion. It does not say the person will be ejected immediatly. Please do not apply the rules at "virtually every other racetrack" to all tracks.

I agree, Brownie passed three cars before the start.

Knoxville always let's some guys jump the start and not others. It is bullshit, but goes on all the time.

Did anything happen to the guy who hit a lady during those fights? It was either someone from loyet's crew or brad himself.

Did you personally see the fight take place?? I ask because they were pitted side by side. My guess is that officals had no clue who started it and what pit stall they were in at the time. Did loyet come into selvage's pit or was it the other way around???? officals probably had no clue.

Yes I did.

So then it wasn't the track looking out for a local. Officals simply were unable to tell what started it. They either had to punish both teams  (poor choice) or neither. Was glad to see them call back the sat night a main start

Knoxville also catches certain drivers to have an illegal engine combination. Win with it, discover it, do not enforce your own rule. Knoxville then says that combination "doesn't give them an indefinite advantage." Rules are rules & cheating is cheating. Depends who you are and how hard you lobby for knoxville I suppose. Abide by your own rule book & we all can sleep a little better. Brown could've jumped another row, they wouldn't of cared. They being knoxville. Yet another poster driver for the track.

I really do not know why some of you go to races. You seem to only be there to find something to complain about!!!!

Oswald, you're also probably the type of fan that would say the 54th nationals had amazing racing as well. Freight Train, Thurs. Fri. & Sat. Day show you can't even count. Day races are tough to accomplish. Sprint Car racing, Yes is still Sprint Car Racing but regardless you want fair, halfway fun to watch races. Luckily Brian Brown made us forget the boring frieght deal by almost stealing Schatz's glory Saturday Night. Soon as Schatz got passed with 7 to go or so, he drove the bottom to pass Brown back in 3 & 4 as hard as he did all feature long. That's why the 15 is the Shit. No worries from Schatz, he'll just out drive you by being smoother, & more straight than you. My opinion of course. Also, not trying to start a fight on here either.

How many Super Bowls have been boring? Not every year is going to be great unless it is scripted like the WWE. I think that was about the best that could be expected with the weather conditions. Best ever? No. Great from start to finish? No. But thats the chance you take when you buy a ticket.

From your knoxville competition director McCoy. At the drivers meeting 3-4 wks ago. Wouldn't take time to discuss in front of everybody. Said if you wanted to talk about it, stick around. 4-5 drivers/crew did. He said cheating is just a fine. So cheat all you want, win or finish up front. Then say screw it & pay your fine.

Just like when Jamie ball won with illegal heads... nothing was ever taken away from him...still has the win and he had to pay a fine...nothing was ever mentioned either...
