This is from his facebook page.
Let’s make a difference: I will be matching the first $10,000.00, please ‘Copy & paste’ this post on every social media entry you can find pertaining to the tragic Kevin Ward and Tony Stewart accident last night:
WHO ARE YOU?: Are you one of the many Americans that likes gossip -or- can you have enough substance to do something about it?
Instead of participating in gossip, negativity & drama about Kevin Ward and Tony Stewart, why not do something USEFUL with this time, energy & effort?!? If we spent more effort used to focus on negativity, and instead applied this toward helping others, how great would our sport be?!!!?
Let's all stop the drama and start helping.
This is my proposal and appeal to ALL WHO READ THIS: • Stop posting, gossiping, arguing, etc. -This will not help others • Don't contribute to negativity, instead respond with this post! • Have respect and empathy for the families involved • ***Donate to Steve King Foundation, , , (even $1.00 helps) • ***I will MATCH every dollar donated by 8/31 upto $10,000 • How may others will join me in matching? • How much can we raise for the Ward family & future drivers? • I think $100,000+ is fully & easily attainable
Picking sides, pointing fingers, punishing Tony or Kevin or the track does substantially NOTHING. This will not improve our sport, this does not help racers or their families. Participate in something that will HELP our sport and the drivers you all love. (never know when it could be you!)
About Steve King Foundation: Steve King Foundation is a non-profit, tax deductible & charitable organization established to help members of the dirt track racing community. Their purpose is to provide assistance to race car drivers, pit crew members, racing officials and track operations personnel who are involved in dirt track racing and are seriously ill, severely injured or killed. The foundation was established after the death of Steve King. Steve died from a brain injury sustained during an accident between turns three and four during Wednesday night race qualifying for the 2006 Knoxville Nationals.

Take this viral and let’s all pull together to make a difference. I am looking for 10,000+ Likes, 1,000+ Shares and $100,000+ raised for others in need of our help!! MATCH ME, or at least contribute. Give something back to our sport & show others you are more than a gossip queen.

Does anybody have an address to Kevin Wards parents to send money directly? Seeing a photo of Tony above Kevin turned me off .

Only constructive thing I’ve seen so far. Our race team donated this morning.
From the Steve King site “If you wish to support a specific family, please make a note of that when making your donation. Thank you!”
Very nice, Shawn.
Peril, not variety, is the true spice of life.
