Since i stayed home to watch the nationals i missed the C.W. at Calistoga, probably should have set my recorder and went to stoga instead..From what i read all the cw guys were there as was Crockett and a few of the big guns from GSC. If anyone on here was there how was the attendence?? Looks like Allissa did pretty well, 10th in TT, 1st in the B, 9th in the A.. not to shabby for a 15 year old, first year in sprints and (maybe) her first time on a big half mile.

Attendance was pretty good...Trulli though wasn't challenged too much for the lead during the feature, except when he was in lapped traffic (before the only yellow around Lap 14 or so) and Andy Gregg was catching up to him.
I was most impressed with Alissa's thread-the-needle three wide pass during her heat, THAT was fun to watch. In the B she mostly worked the outside line before running away with it, her car was really squirrely out there and she made some contact with both Brett Rollag and Peter Murphy while passing each of them.
Brent and Bud Kaeding were both there, Bud in the #20 that was driven last week at Placerville by Stephen Allard and before then by Mike Henry...the #20 never made it to qualifying as the engine blew a crank in practice. Really wanted to see what Bud could do in that car, that was unfortunate.
I've got some photos up from the event: http://flickr.com/photos/csampang/sets/72157601431733789/

I saw her run petaluma and she had contact with a few cars earlier in the night before she finally ran over a lapped car and flipped. She stands on the gas though, not sure if she means the contact or not.

Wow. Well I thought she was doing pretty good for her ROOKIE year......... She makes mistakes like any rookie but I am sure she will learn from them.

She did a helluva job at Calistoga. I was definitely impressed. She's going to be a great big track driver judging from what we saw at Stoga. A little bit wild but that's part of the learning curve and heck that's part of the fun of watching her. Great job! Look forward to watching her at the Trophy Cup.
