PETERSEN MEDIA: The fastest four days of the year in the world is set to kick off tonight at the Marion County Fairgrounds, as the best sprint car drivers in the world are assembled at the Knoxville Raceway for the 54th Annual FVP Knoxville Nationals and TheCushion.Com is excited to bring you all four nights of action via LIVE Pay Per View stream.
NASCAR has the Daytona 500, the NFL has the Superbowl, The NBA has the Finals, and Sprint Car Racing has The Knoxville Nationals, as this week of racing is circled on every sprint car drivers schedule, and on every fan’s calendar.
With over 100 drivers pre entered, they will be split into separate qualifying nights, earning as many points as possible as they strive to make it to Saturday Night’s 50-lap $150,000 to win Championship feature event, and we will be bring you all of the action from the friendly confines of your living room.
Over the years, Knoxville staff has played around with the Friday format, and for the third year in a row they will be bringing a very fan friendly format that allows drivers who have a bad week, to redeem themselves and re qualify. Running a full program, the Top Four finishers in the feature event will take the 17-20th starting spots of the Saturday night A Main, and you can too witness that LIVE on TheCushion.Com.
Following the Friday night race program, the ever popular SPEED SPORT Knoxville World Challenge will hit the track, putting drivers who competed in Canada, Australia, and America over the year in a race versus each other, and if a driver in the Top-3 is not locked into the feature event, the highest finishing driver not locked in, will earn the 25th starting position, and that will also be LIVE on TheCushion.Com.
Saturday night feature an electric atmostpher with drivers giving it their all to make the 25 car field, and for the second year in-a-row, fans can watch the entire night LIVE on TheCushion.Com.
Coverage is set to begin at 6:45pm local time, and anyone that wishes to purchase the broadcast has a couple of options. The first two nights of action (Wednesday and Thursday) can be purchased for $39 each, Friday is available for $42, and Saturday night is available for $45.
