OCRS MANUFACTURES PERFORMANCE RANKINGS
Presented by: Sprintdudes.com

Tulsa Oklahoma (July 31, 2014)- As the Oil Capital Racing Series begins their annual 2-week early August break, we bring you yet another edition of the on-going Sprintdudes.com Manufactures Performance Rankings for the racing events through July 26, 2014. Last week saw the OCRS warriors take on the ever quick Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada OK; and it was Caney Kansas native Andrew Deal picking up the A-Feature win for A.R.T. Chassis and Wornhor Racing Engines.

The victory was the second win for A.R.T. in OCRS competition this season as Michael Bookout grabbed a win at Monett Missouri in mid-June. It was the first win for Wornhor and second career OCRS victory for Deal who drives for Cagle Motorsports. There have now been 12 different winners in 15 events thus season.

Wesmar Racing Engines had been drifting at sea in the Sprintdudes.com MPR charts most of the year as Johnny Kent was sidelined for a spell and the Passmore Gang (Jamie / Glen) are part-timers this season. Although J. Passmore scored a win earlier this month, Kent has really put Wesmar on his back. In the last three weeks, Kent has not missed being on the podium during that time collecting dual runner-up finishes (he was close to winning either) and was third at OSP last Saturday to strengthen Wesmar’s third place position on the charts.

STK Racing Engines still tops the rankings (42 pts) but Dyno Services of Oklahoma closed the gap with a second place run at OSP by Smith thus closing the week with 38 points. It will be interesting to see if the Kent/Wesmar combo can put any heat on the front two. That would be greatly aided by any additional showings by the Passmore Gang.

Eagle Motorsports, who has multiple OCRS teams running their line, is also achieving success in the rankings due to the strong runs of late by Kent. Their 48 markers is 12 better than XXX Chassis (36 pts) who did scratch out a point with Kade Morton’s 5th place drive at OSP. Wayne Simmons’ F5-Twister (the only locally built chassis) has pulled into a third place tie with Maxim Chassis (30 pts ea.) thanks to Smith’s OSP finish. Eagle’s 12-point cushion does mean for now, they can glide a little, but only for a brief moment. With just eight events remaining, Eagle is the odds-on favorite to take the chassis title however, those chasing will be looking to clip some wings.
