We are coming to Osky and Knoxville for the first time. I know this is asked all the time but any advice/pointers? Do we need to preorder for the Osky Challenge? Any restaurants, camping, or hotels near Osky? We are camping at the Knoxville Campground all week. Maybe we'll see some of you there!!!

Don't need to stay elsewhere as Oskaloosa is 30 minutes from Knoxville or closer , go early to Osky for races , check out all food stands around just outside gates at Knoxville . Mexican restaurant in Knoxville is good , go to Iowa State Fair during early hours of an afternoon ( pick up tickets before Thurs at Hyfee store , discount tickets) best fair in country ,just outside Des moines ,IA off rt 65 ? I think near route 5 ? 40 minutes from Knoxville . Take in Sprint car Hall of Fame go to second floor that overlooks track . If need any help contact me at 443-974-7027 ,also pick up poster of Steve Kinser at Hall of Fame 3.00 I believe , Have a great time , Posse Fan

You will love it.
Take in the state fair, a race at English Creek, the food stands at Knoxville, the Hall of Fame, Dingus, downtown Pella, lake Red Rock, Prairie Meadows casino, Slideways carting center, Bos Landen (golf), t-shirt trailers, driver autograph sessions...and racing every night.
Welcome to the Nationals!

For Osky, how good is the infield view? I'm sure the infield has more of the party scene but for viewing is it ok or hands down better in the stands? Calling for tickets tomorrow. Thanks and thanks for the feedback so far.

Grandstand seating is much better for overall viewing of the track. I get tired of turning in circles while in the infield trying to watch the best battles. The viewpoints from the infield have their benefits though too. You are so close to the cars (possibly to close but luckly nothing has happened that I can remember) you can really feel the speed. If you dont get there early the best infield spots are usually taken. I like turn four for the King of the Hill challange as all the drivers will pull in there before the challange. If you can get in early and enjoy the party try the pits for something different otherwise just stick to the stands for the better watching of the race.
