Saw he's now won nine straight 360 races throughout Missouri, mostly at Double X Speedway with a couple others sprinkled in.

Not the WoO, ASCS, or Knoxville by any means, but still an impressive run none the less.

I went on twitter to check who won there tonight and as I was tying in 'Double X Speedway' I knew I was wasting my time because I already knew who won. He's on fire.

The Lee product running strong. Ostrich just a galloping. With all the buzz around motor "issues" at places like knoxville. Tear em down!!

For Cornell, Sunday nights at Double X is like going to the ATM. I believe some years ago, a driver by the name of Jesse Hockett would use Double X as an ATM as well. Incredible stuff. Hoping to see a solid run out of Cornell for the 360 Nationals.

At $650 to win, the lowest paying 360 track in the country, no one is getting rich there.  2nd only pays $300.  That doesn't even cover tires, fuel and pit passes for the night.  I don't see how all those guys can afford to keep running there.

Actually Huset's & I90 Speedway's in the Sioux Falls SD area are the lowest paying 360 weekly tracks with both of them only paying $600 to win. Unless another speedway can top those tracks.

Husets was more than that a couple years ago I thought.  Didn't know they went backwards.  That's sad.

Double X is a great place to watch 360's on Sunday nights, it just 1 1/2 - 2 hours East from Kansas City. Not many tracks have the fans and drivers loyalty that Double has, I go there whenever possible! Jason Johnson lives near XX now, he races there offten. Cornell has beat Johnson on most visits. Don't forget Cornell finished second at Knoxville a few weeks ago. He's also a former Knoxville ROTY in the 360's, I believe he finished second in points that year...he has a load of talent!

please dont stone me to death for saying this but he is the guy to beat in Mo at 360s show. Maybe it's time to leave the porch and go see what you can do with the big boys? I know it all takes money and maybe his current team doesn't have enough. i can understand that. Winning never gets old but i think at some point you would want to see if you could be a big fish in a big pond instead of a large fish in a small pond.

i can see the family thing keeping some guys at home. If with the right team i would think there would be some kind of job that would make it work. Look at all the Posse. THose guys love to stay home. That's their right and they make good $ so i understand. i would just love to see what he could do on the National tour.

First cornell has a biz to run I think that keeps him from some travels. 2nd he does well with a small bugdet. I think of brown or johnson and I bet cornells budget is prob a 1/3 or less than that .but still puts it on them most places.  He did run out west last fall.  Was leading a race in arizona and a 3 buck part broke and he made a main for trophy cup with a limited motor (out there its all open 360s)  I would love to see him on ascs nat tour. If only some of the big buck guys would spend a lil time with the kid they could see there is not a fake bone in his body and he lives racin and kids. I'd say for the money he has compared to others. He is a big fish no matter where he is. I look at what brownnie does when he leaves kville  or jj does. I have no doubts cornell can do better with the same money these cats got.with xx being in his back door and the only weekly 360 track in mo. It no wonder he dominates here. Reminds me very much of a kid named jesse hockett. On and off the track

Low budget? 30k Ostrich under the hood. New tires nightly. Triple axle trailer. He's on a budget, idk how low. Yeah compared to B. Brown he's "low" but Casey's probably gives Brian 100k a year. Not many racers are actually low budget in this deal anymore.

Yes low budget. Two bullets. Not 4.two cars. Ones an 07. . The kid takes care of his stuff.not 8 cars. He would be on the lower end of any ones budget list in the ascs national list. Def has the talent in the driver and wrench department. And hhe has done it mostly on a shoe string compared to say randy martin.brad loyet.jj.brown. but runs with up front with them at any track.I hope he gets a good 410 for nats. Hope he lands a big money ride. He deserves it.

He did run a full year at Knoxville back in 2009. Finished second in the point standings and won the Rookie of the Year award. I believe he pulled off 3 victories that year and the guy that won the championship that year was Clint Garner who went on to win 5 straight championships. The guy can go, but the cost keeps him at home.

I am not even familiar with Jonathan Cornell, but as soon as I read a little about the success he is having this year, I knew some knucklehead on this board would be complaining that the guy should get off the porch and stop being a big fish in a small pond. I Know it's beyond comprehension that a driver may have a business or a family or other reasons for running locally, but there are a whole lot of drivers in that very situations -- even guys that win with regularity.

Some of the people on here have absolutely no concept of what a job, or a business or a family or a budget is. Everybody should on the road touring nationally instead of hiding on the porch, right? LOL

i do believe i said "i did not know that" and it was more of a question as to why he doesn't. Now i know. You make it sound like i said he should man up and drop family and go out on the road. That is not what i said by any means. it was a decent regular conversation. for a while anyway.
