One week ago, Ian Madsen put together quite a performance in the 410ci division, as he looked to be well on his way to his second victory of the season at the raceway. On the last lap the action picked up in thick lapped traffic, and Justin Henderson, who made a brilliant move to pick up the win in dramatic fashion, passed Madsen.
Fast Forward to this weekend, and the stars and cars of the 410ci division will be looking to gain advantage for the biggest race of the year, and at the same time will be looking to gain ground in the Knoxville Championship Cup standings, as the point chase comes down to the wire.
With many visitors scheduled to be on hand like Sammy Swindell, Rico Abreu, Brian Brown, Danny Lasoski, Jac Haudenschild, and many more, drivers like Terry McCarl, Justin Henderson, Craig Dollansky, and Ian Madsen will be looking to tune for the Nationals, but will also be looking to valuable points as they hunt for the Knoxville Track Championship, and TheCushion.Com will be there every step of the way.
Dusty Zomer was victorious in last weekends 360ci feature event as he fended off Justin Henderson in a hard fought feature event with Calvin Landis, Jamie Ball, and Jeff Swindell rounding out the Top-Five.
In what will be this divisions final night of action before the 360 Nationals go green Live on TheCushion.Com in just one week, many of the country’s top drivers are expected to sneak away to the ‘Mecca of Mud’ for one final night of testing before the spotlight shines even brighter on the Knoxville Raceway for three days.
With that in mind, Joe Beaver and Jon Agan are in a dog fight for the top spot in the Knoxville Championship Cup standings, and with just 50 markers separating the two, both will be looking to rise to the occasion and have big nights.
The 305 class will be on hand Live on TheCushion.Com Saturday night, and J Kinder, Steve Breazeale, and Matthew Stelzer have had quite the season long battle going on atop the point standings. In what has been a very competitive season to date, the 305 track championship is up for grabs and will unfold LIVE on TheCushion.Com Saturday night.
