By URSS PR (Oberlin, KS) — After taking a weekend off after the 3 day Wheatshocker Nationals Weekend the United Rebel Sprint Series will be back in action this weekend for two nights this Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night the Rebels will make their 3rd appearance this year at the always immaculate Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City Kansas for First Responders Night at the 3/8 high bank oval. Both previous races have been won by Colorado drivers as Zac Taylor was victorious over a 28 car field on May 10th and then Jake Bubak finally broke a streak of ten different winners in as many events by topping the 29 car field at the URSS portion of the Steve King Memorial with a last corner pass of Ray Seemann for the win.
Action in Dodge City begins at 7:30pm with all First Responders and their families in free.
On Saturday night the Rebels will make their one and only visit this season at the Dirtona Raceway in Hugoton KS. It’s been several years since the URSS has visited the 3/8 mile oval and several SW Kansas teams are anxiously waiting to perform for the first time in several years close to home against the URSS invaders.
Among the local drivers will be Barry Crane, who has run sparingly this year, and is always a threat to win. Liberal drivers KobyWaters and Steven Richardson, both who have wins this season also look to get their second victory this year.
The green flag drops at 7pm Saturday night with admission for adults only $10 and kids 5 and under free.
Colorado’s Jake Bubak leads the Kansas point ranking with a slim 20 point lead over Liberal’s Steven Richardson with Jetmore’s Zach Blurton and Jeremy Huish in third and fourth. Codell, KS’s Jed Werner and Ness City native Luke Cranston are tied for 5th.
For those who cannot attend be sure to tune in to RBN The RacinBoys Broadcasting Network racinboys.com to hear Mike Wilson call all the action live both nights
