They will take the top 16 in points from the frist 2 nights (Wed & Thurs) and those drivers are locked into Saturday's A-Main, starting positions 1-16.

Then the next 10 in points have the option to keep their points and start in the first 5 rows of Saturday's B-main or throw the points out and re-qualify on Friday night.

Everyone else comes back Friday and runs almost a whole new show (Qualifying, heats, B-Mains, A-Main) and the top 4 finishers in the Firday night A-Main will fill starting positions 17-20 in Saturday's A-Main. Everyone else fills in positions in the B-F Mains on Saturday.

They have ran this format the past 2 years, I really like it, I think it adds something to the Friday show besides the World Challenge, instead of the old format when the winner of the feature Friday would start like 11th in the C-Main.

The drivers are asked their preference (Wed/Thurs) when they enter.  They try to accomodate that as much as possible.  From there, they just try to even it up so all the Outlaws aren't running the same night, all the Knoxville cars aren't running each night, etc.  They always try to make it as fair as possible... but there is always last minute switching by the teams.

Last year seemed pretty lopsided, I seem to recall Thursday had the big guns. Seems more even this year, but Wednesday might be tougher: Schatz, Pittman, Sammy, Bacon, Gravel....

But Thursday's pretty tough too....Brian Brown, "The King", Meyers. Ian Madsen, Rico, McMahan...

thats why I'm going!

Well, if that's the case, how come I got the 1st qualifying spot on Sun, the 10th?  Oh well, maybe I can switch with somebody!
