Been to the Nationals quite a few years back, fortunately training for work will have me within an hours drive the week of the Nationals!! Due to the late notice, and the crowded front stretch seats, I decided to get backstretch seats. Section P 2nd row from the top, I'm sure they are fine, but, how's the lighting, concessions, etc.?

We gave up our 15 year front stretch seats several years ago and moved to the back. This to get away from all the crap on the front stretch. Hated being packed into a seat that you had to fight for later if you ever got up. Plus all the dumb asses that stand up on Saturday night was just too much to tolerate. We get on line about two hours before race time and look for the highest seats/section with the fewest sold seats on the back. You can spread out, be comfortable and see the same show.

Having sat in section P for nearly 20 years I can say without a doubt I would not trade those for any other seats. The concessions are good, last year was the only year we have ever had a problem with a drunk person. The view is great. The rows in the section is only 10 seats so there is a lot less people getting up and getting out all the time. I think you would love those seats. If you get them stop by and sat hi I will be in row 17 seats one and two.

I was wondering the same thing, we are trying the back streach this year, row 17ish , we are a younger group, that likes to drink ( alltho respectful of our suroundings and others too) we like to have a good time and watch the nights competition unfold, were intrested in the races- not the party, we can do plenty of that after the checkers wave, i was curious if we will be delighted or let down?, we have only heard good things, regardless, its the nationals, and were there, pretty simple formula for me personally.. have fun all!

I sat in section XX on one night and section WW the final two nights last year. This is basically at the end of the back straight. We had a great time, and I really don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I don't know where we will sit this year. I know it'll be on the back straight somewhere, but we'll just see what's open when we get there.

We have been sitting in section X 20 rows up or so for at least 10 years. You will not be let down and it sounds like you will fit in perfectly.

If you do get backstretch tickets, make sure to watch some of the action from low in the grandstand right where they come out of turn 2. It feels like they are coming right at you - almost a little unnerving at first!

This year will be my 22nd year sitting in section T on the backstretch. Sat the first year on the front stretch, but definitely enjoy being apart of the "backstretchers". You won't be disappointed.

Love it back there. There is no way I would ever go back to the front.

I had Section E, Row 28, Seats 1& 2 for over 15 Years, Very good seats right behind the Flagstand, Sat right behind John Capatani and his Peeps (Good People by the way). Went to the Backstretch 4 years ago and been there ever since.. Love it back there.

Those are the exact seats my brother and I have had for the past two years, we just hadn't bought them yet this year. Great seats, you'll love it. I might try and buy the two next to you that are still avaiable.

Last year I was only able to go Friday & Saturday night. I had bought seats up super high, middle of the backstraight. after watching about 5 minutes of hot laps, we moved down real low. stayed down there the rest of the time. I like it cause the view is amazing. you're just above top wing height, and you can still see the whole track. right up on the track. and it isn't crowded. you can stretch out and move around.

Yes everyone needs to feel that sensation! Standing as close to the track as you can get, Hold on to your Begonias and Revell in the Speed Sensation as they go by you.. Maybe not the safest spot to be but none the less very cool.
