Happy, happy, happy, Texas's favorite son Rodney Sanders was unbeatable on the 1/2 mile Lakeside Speedway Tuesday night, several tried but none could stay with the 20 year old hot shoe.
Terry Phillips tried and made a show of racing with Sanders after a restart but could not hang with him for very long as Sanders would pull away and open up a commanding lead for the win.
Several locals made an impressive showing with the USMTS traveling series as last year's points champion Nic Bidinger came home 3rd after hanging on to 2nd for a majority of the race. Fifteen year old Trevor Hunt finished in the top five.
This truly was a clash of the titans as billed, enjoy the race.
