When you win money on 50/50 do you have to pay tax on that in the USA..At our Winnipeg JETS games our average take home 50/50 is $40,000 each game..Our fans are crazy..Money goes up especially when Montreal or Toronto comes to town..Some lucky winner tonight...

I bet you the late model followers will try to top that total for the world in September at Eldora. I knew the Winnipeg fans were insane but 40000 a home game is just that for a 50 50 makes me want to come up to Peg and catch an NHL game!

Damn, I wouldn't have to pick up cans for a while. Just put about 10,000 in the grandkids bank account.

The funny thing is it would have been larger but they reported they ran out of 50/50 tickets to sell! Guess they will order more for next year.

The average pot for an Edmonton Oilers game was $126,000 and I know for the World Juniors a few years back it was much higher. The Grey Cup football final last year in Regina, Saskatchewan had it slightly more than $250,000, not too shabby, lol, got to love us Canadians and our gambling.....

Now, tell everyone the truth, Mike. With the exchange rate the winning ticket would be worth $7.39 in American dollars. ha ha ha
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

I know the other 3 outlaw shows don't get near the crowds of this weekend, and maybe that's the justification for keeping the kings royal purse as it is, but I really think this event is big enough to have a significant purse increase.
