If I could pad their pockets with start up I would be trafficing a lot more races off the West coast. Maybe even some in PA. But if I was going to send them somewhere I would send them to CA so Allard, TK and BK would have some competition.
There are a ton of tracks in IA. Just not many running 410 sprints it seems. I would be willing to bet that if the WOO went to 360s (remember this is just my opinion, not to be taken very seriousely) then so would the rest of the country.
I don't know about all that much corn though. Seems to be an awefull lot of soybeans grown there lately. I think IL may surpass them as the number one corn producing state soon. And we all know what kind of weekly 410 racing they have.

Johns - Tim S. briefly drove the Apple 12 (in Possleand) before accepting a WoO ride. He is from western PA (began his career racing many of the tracks that Ed Lynch races). Western PA weekly shows tend to be for much smaller paydays and purses than South Central PA tracks.
Posseland USA is basically based around Williams Grove Speedway. When they run here, we claim them. If they "started" their career somewhere other than Posseland , we only claim them while they run here. Guys like Kauffman, Stevie Smith, The Jet, who began their careers here always hold a spot in Posse fans mind.
Ironically, Shaffer and Hodnett swapped rides and thus began Greg's conversion - LOL.

To gdude- OK we use the Speed Dawg point as a basis. Take away PA top 5- Rahmer, Dewease, Hodnett, Shaffer, Wolfe. Remaining top 10-Esh-2006 National Open winner, no matter that Schatz said he would have won after 40 laps, it didn't go 40 laps and he didn't win. Have a nice day. Next Jeff Shepard. Prelim win and top 10 K-ville finish. A bomber according to MSPN. (If you haven't noticed, I could ignore Mikey if he didn't try to argue with Posse fans by calliing Posse cars junk, I guess only 9 cars in the country aren't 'bombers'). Stevie Smith- I concede- I don't consider him Posse. Mark Smith- timed in 3rd quick on his qualifying night. Another indefensible bomber. How could we let these PA guys in street stocks impede real racers in real race cars. 10th in Speed Dawg points- Kauffman. A legend I believe. OK how far down the depth chart do we go- Mike Erdley- NST winner. Krietz 10 time WOO winner, Leppo, Outlaw winner. Montieth- THE SHOW!. Josh Wells- recent florida winner, Florida is not in PA for the record. And in my eyes, Lynch and Shaffer are not Posse. PA yes Posse no. But I am a huge Lynch fan.

In the past decade or so around PA there were a few good cars (the Big 3) a few others and the usual suspects (bombers). The Big 3 teams are gone and the playing field has been a lot more level this year. There is NO more domination by Fred, Lance and Greg and the Posse fan has to be happy with that, equality is why the weekly racing is so good. I am sure the lack of big $$$$ teams is why you've had such a competitive season this year and you gotta love it. It is also why the Outlaws are even further ahead than they've been in the past, EVEN in PA where the Posse for the most part are only competitive at ONE track, sorry.
Ex Knoxville regulars (Dude, Terry and Dollansky) have done pretty well off the porch and did well again this past weekend and have also all won at the Grove, this is no small feat. Winning an Outlaw show anywhere is a big deal but winning at the Grove is the toughest place in the country, always was, always will be.
There is NO Posse vs. the Outlaws debate, I can give you stats forever to prove it's so one sided it's a joke. The stay at home weekly racers there are likely the best in the country but not necessarily the best racers in the country and if you don't know this, it's not my fault. Racing a hundred times a year tends to make you a pretty good racer but money will give you a chance to be competitive with the Outlaws and it's not around like it used to be. Even a blind squirrel finds the odd acorn and on a rare occasion a Posse driver will beat the big dogs somewhere other than the Grove but it sure ain't as often as the chest thumpers in here will have you believe and it is even less likely these days without the $$$$$. Seeing Shep win was GREAT but I and many others have always considered him a racer that runs up and down the highway, no matter the series and not the usual porch dweller who takes the easy money with his Outlaw team that runs locally every week.
In closing, somebody needs to tell me why all that racing in PA hasn't produced a whole lot on the National basis. Stevie from the 80's the G-Man from the nineties and maybe Lucas from this decade? Why no more stars than this, Shep should be in that list also, heck he once won 5 times in the Selma Shell car in the same season, that's impressive right there. I think with the big three winding down it will only get better for somebody else to move up and I hope they go all the way up to the touring level. Monteith, Stutts, Carber or somebody else, here's hoping somebody makes it to the big time and I will wish them well for their escape. Take It Easy.....

one thing that Mulligan will not address:
ALL WoO races won by ALL DRIVERS at the Grove have been SPLIT FIELD RACES for many years running because HALF THE STINKING OUTLAWS WERE PARKED FOR THE A MAIN.
Show me where that happens in part unknown and i will show you another SPLIT FIELD WIN.

Bottom line is: THERE IS NO TRUE POSSE LEFT AND THERE ARE NO MIDWEST PEOPLE LEFT!.
The best have taken to the road, and that includes your people.
BRR, after several years of asking, you have NEVER given the true definition of Posse, or Midwest.
The best of the litter have run both places.
Your hot air and BS is starting to smell like a fart gone wrong.

then stop eating baked beans and tune in...it has been established by MANY in threads all over this place - this might help the early onset off season blues...
Posse Teams = running the Central PA schedule as their primary race schedule
Kville Teams = running the Iowa schedule as their primary race schedule
WoO Teams = running the WoO schedule as their primary race schedule
Posse Haters = running yourselves ragged with idiotic claims and excuses for the poor performance of parts unknown...not to mention those time consuming movie reviews.
Also Rans = running the internet message board schedule as their primary race experience - choosing to live where there is no 410 racing to speak of but cannot stop themselves from providing an expert remote view of races they have no means or intention of attending. either because they are not allowed? or possibly the county monitors the ankle bracelet?
see you at the races...we still have several weeks of action ahead.

I must laugh at a person who says Central PA, when what he means is the Grove.
Also, I suppose you think the Open is something special, hell it is just another Outlaw show.
You could sober up and plan some things to make this an event instead of just a race, but if I know you, as long as you have a beer in your hand, all is well (burp-fart)!

so you are saying that when the woo wins in pa they are still beating more posse than any where else? what is it that bugs the heck out of you so much that you can't just be proud that your guys run the best of any locals with the woo. we GIVE you the point that pa has talent. no one is trying to degrade you by saying the woo has a winning record in pa. unless a posse member WINS the race they got beat. simple. you will say that with out the top 3 outlaws that the pa stats would be better. well without the top 3 outlaws EVERYONES stats would be better. including the rest of the woo teams. if the competition is who can grow the biggest watermelon and you grow the biggest apple, you might have a darn fine apple but you still didn't win the competition. when the competition is who can win the race why do you have seem to try have to justify things by your claims of having more cars in the show? does calling it a split field mean it was not a legitimate show. if half the posse was in the main or in the pits and one of them did not win they all still got beat. same if half the woo was in the show or in the pits and a posse won. i never once have heard you guys say we gave it our best shot and put as many cars in the field as we could but we just got beat.but if you had one posse guy at the track and he won you would act like the lord appeared. by the way it would still be a posse win!

how do your watermelon taste buds like this apple?
half the WoO cars are parked for the A main at the Grove (unlike parts unknown)...i think you know at least one car that fell into that group recently.
come east and watch it for yourself, it might lend a bit of reality to your illusion act.

so what if half the outlaw cars are parked. you telling me it is less of a show with your guys in it? what excatly do you mean? with all your split field gummy bear stuff are you saying that a field half full of pa cars is weak? i always thought the beast cars at the track that night made up the field. as far as your mention of one car that fell into a certain group what does that have to do with you not being able to admit that even with half the woo parked and more of your guys in the field than anywhere else that the woo still have a winning record at your home track against the posse. are you that pompous that you have to keep changing the subject to support your own ego? why do you keep interjecting into an argument things that are not being debated and that have been agreed on already? i'm not trying to degrade you or insult you. just asking why you have so much of a problem admitting that even though the posse is as good as it is they still have a loosing record against the woo. even with all the racing the posse gets in every year.

...nodust said... "Also, I suppose you think the Open is something special, hell it is just another Outlaw show."...I would consider $50,000 something special...but I am not from Iowa or Pennsylvania...we do have a race in Ohio that pays $50,000, and it's something special to a lot of people...

did not mean to lump all posse fans into one catagory. but in here y'all look the same to me.lol. and even if BRR is a bastion of posse pride i have found him to have some redeaming qualities from time to time.

That does seem to be a reoccurring problem with you, Wright -- not being able to keep your Posse fans straight. Anyway, I thought you were going to switch to "Team PA" as your name on here and distance yourself from all things California and WoO. LOL
Wonder how many 100+ plus Posse vs. the World threads there have been on this board all time?

...since you are directing posse questions my way...I can only assume you have no idea about what my post actually said...but what the hell, I'll play along...
...Jeff Shepard (Upperco, Maryland) (posse...my opinion) started 11th, finished 10th in the A Main...FACT : finished ahead of EVERY Knoxville regular *, EVERY Ohio native, EVERY All Star, and Mr. California, Tim Kaeding...
* ex-Knoxville Regular, turned Outlaw, wanna-be posse (ask BRR...he'll tell ya), and Iowa native Terry McCarl finished 3rd...
...Lucas Wolfe (Mechanicburg, Pennsylvania) (native posse) started 15th, finished 14th...
...Stevie Smith (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) (native posse, Outlaw, ex-posse, born again posse) started 10th, finished 22nd...
..oh yea... Go Brian !
