The last opportunity for some laps at Boothill before Battle weekend will be Saturday August 2nd.
31 Limited Modifieds raced there this past Saturday, July 26th and it was H8R Chassis builder Jason Tiner of Tyler, Texas taking the win with RJ Stroman, Clint Bates, defending Tootsie Smith Memorial champion Derick Grigsby and Hunter Baudoin rounding out the top 5.
Oh yea... 75 Factory Stocks checked in for a $1500 to win event and in a bit of an upset, Dylan Spears took that win! They won't be 'upsets' for long with performances like that!!!

Boothill will be off on 8/9 (Tootsie Smith at ALT) and 8/16 (Back-to-school Bash at Lonestar). Better come THIS Saturday 8/2 if you want some laps under race conditions before the Thursday practice gets here!

**BATTLE AT BOOTHILL EVENT SCHEDULE**
**Thursday August 21
Practice 8:00-10:00
**Friday August 22
*Qualifying
Limiteds will run 2 heat races with passing points. We will add the passing points of both heat races to determine the lineups for Saturday's qualifiers. The 2 high point guys that don't make the show will be guaranteed in the show at the rear of the field. All other classes will be heat races only. We will run a beginners race both nights.
**Saturday August 23
Limiteds : Everyone will run a B qualifier and that will determine the A feature lineup. The number of qualifiers will be dependent on car count. The a feature will be 40 laps.
*Races start at 8:00 both nights. Gates open 4:00 and we welcome any racers staying at the track.
*There will be non qualifier money and lots of prizes for non qualifiers. So everyone will leave with something. We have Integra shocks and springs, DuPont shocks, Rhino rear ends, sets of X factor bushings TCC carburetors, Day Motorsports gift cards, Smileys gift cards, Websites by Blake, Taylor made rear ends and more!!
The a feature has $100 hard charger from rhino rear ends,
$200 extra to 17th place finisher courtesy of Brandon Ball B17 racing, $150 to the leader at halfway courtesy of H and H racing.
**Along with the Battle at Boothill we also have the Out of the Darkness 1st Annual Suicide Prevention Night.
~Trophies for each feature winner
~$100 cash to the first driver that finishes the feature with a suicide prevention sticker on their car in each class including beginners. The Out of the Darkness table will be set up at driver registration selling the tickets.
~Prizes will be given out at the drivers meeting.

Battle of Boothill -- Drivers May Want to Bring a Change of Clothes Saturday!
Greenwood, Louisiana--August 21st. The challenge is on! Practice is tonight from 8 to 10pm at the legendary Boothill Speedway for this weekend's $5000 to win Limited Modified Battle of Boothill but that's not the only challenge that will be facing some of the racers this weekend. This second challenge involves buckets of ice water...you may want to bring a change of clothes.
Entry fee for the challenge is a minimum of $10. The dousing will take place Saturday night and race promoters Jason Ingalls and Travis Evans have been challenged. The momentary discomfort will be well worth it though. Half of the proceeds will go to defeat ALS in the name of Minden Late Model racer Rusty Cummings who passed away from the disease in 2011. The other half will go to the Out of Darkness suicide prevention campaign in the names of racers Terry Lipscomb, Brandon Barrett and Bradley Knight.
