Jellyot, if you were in charge, and you could get the speedweek race out of Maryland, where would you schedule it...?
Please don't say SSP, because we both know that the roots of hatred for Mr. Fisher run deep into Posse soil...
Opinions may vary...

I would have it at SSP. He's replaced some boards and the racing is pretty good there. That is if I was in charge. But there are other venues.
You could go back to Big Diamond, albeit, that facility isn't the greatest. You could also give both Saturday night tracks, Port Royal and Lincoln two dates. Just spit-balling.
I like Hagerstown, but not the week before the motorcycle show. And I'm still luke warm to the idea of it being part of PA Speed Week.

What do you think will keep the teams from attending the Maryland race more, the weather or the fact that Posse haulers are illegal in 49 states...? :/

I like and appreciate your articles, but even mentioning Big Diamond is only putting on display a total unawareness for, well, what Big Diamond is/has become. It was *HORRIBLE* last year and the racing is just absolutely terrible last several races there, especially as it relates to the ability for anyone to see, be it drivers, fans or both. Big Diamond's owners are clowns and have been for years.

No, I'm quite aware. I have heard it is a little better this year. Not sure if that is true. Besides, that is not my first choice. It's SSP.

I would like to see 1 path valley show, 2 grove shows, 2 port, and 2 lincoln and Selinsgrove. Having drivers that work full time during the week, who dont get off till 430-5 is difficult for them to make shows. Which is why grandview had 22 cars last night. Keep the shows close to drivers and fans and i think it will be a better turnout cars and fans wise.

Grandview had a real good crowd last night. Plus, it was a pretty good show. Sprints and 60-lap modified show was over at 10:53. But, I understand what you are saying.

Surely I'm not the only one that questions having more than one Speedweek race at the same track. Williams Grove and Port Royal are two of the three most popular tracks in the area, but I think each track involved in the Speedweek should have only one date. Keep Hagerstown (coordinate the schedule with AMA!!!), add Susky and, dare I say it... Trail-Way. Open Speedweek at Trail-Way, then Port Royal, Selinsgrove, an off day Monday, Grandview (or Big Diamond, you're picking the lesser of two evils here), Susky, Hagerstown, Williams Grove, Lincoln, and Path for the finale.
The way the week ends now, it's five straight half-miles. End it with a little place. Make the guy leading Speedweek points earn the championship on a little track, not one where his motor will bail him out.
Thoughts?

Well seeing as how a couple drivers were getting there as heat in the motors was going on, I would say work schedules has a lot to do with it.

Also Gators, would you like to retract your statement about Hodnett not having a good week?? I think two in a row, and the rest of the tracks being half miles, sounds good to me.
