This is off the Swindell website
1997
- Won his 3rd World of Outlaws Championship – (1st and 2nd were 1981 & 1982)
- Going 15 years between championships is the longest period between championships in major auto racing series
- Celebrated 25th year in racing
- 31 Feature wins with only 6 DNF’s for the entire schedule of 100 races
- Named to 1st Team - All-American Team
- Received "Driver of the Year" and "Team of the Year" honors
- Set a record with seven straight feature victories in late August and early September

I wonder if that includes "prelim" wins or not. The World of Outlaws statistics can be very skewed when it comes to the time before all feature wins were counted as full wins. Sort of silly when you consider that the prelim night of those shows were often harder to win than the main events were.

I think Ricky Logan won like 12 in a row in Missouri in the 90's. I think it was in Bill Campbell's car. They were light years ahead of everybody else at the time.

I know it was already mentioned here....but to me no feat will ever top seeing Jack Hewitt win 4 features in one night at the USAC 4-Crown in 4 classes of cars. Kyle Larson winning all three USAC features in one night (after the format was changed to "accomodate" the WoO) was awesome too. Winning several in one week doesn't macth doing it in one night.

But how did Jack do the first time he raced Eldora, 3 for 3 the first night u raced there is pretty amazing. AND YEAH I AM A BIG JACK FAN TOO, 3 is awesome, 4 for 4 is above that.

Kevin Gobrecht won three in a row and in less than 24 hours in 1999 in the Zemco #1 .... Port Royal Saturday afternoon, Lincoln Saturday night, and the Grove Sunday afternoon. The G-Man was on fire early that season!!! I remember Wolfgang winning that 17 in a row in 1985....it ended at Susquehanna when Kauffman and Maynard Yingst finished ahead of him.

I remember reading about Gobrecht's success that particular weekend. I doubt ANYONE can match that statistic of 3 feature wins in 24 hours at three different tracks. Incredible. RIP G-Man.

Kyle won his first 4 races at Eldora.
He won 3 in a row first night he raced there.
Then he flew in the next year just in time to qualifiy the champ car on the pole.
Got in the Midget and Won the main.
first 4 main events he ever started at Eldora are win's.

I know they weren't consecutive, but Steve won 24 of the last 26 WOO features in 1987 on his way to winning 46 of 69 that season. And that did not include prelims.
