I'm not sure why it's not all over this board, but Colfax, Iowa's "Urban Legend" Robert Bell won his first career race last night in Johnny Murdock's Zero Motorsports car. He deserves it more than just about anyone I can think of. No one out there is more dedicated to racing as "Quick Time" Bell. Congrats on the win, and here's to many more of those in your own car at Knoxville.

Somebody please tell me you got his victory lane interview recorded and you plan to post it on here. Robert Bell won a race, hell may have just frozen over! Congrats.

Good for Robert - True story - When Robert first started racing he wanted to start the car & his Dad pushed him on the gravel road by his house. When the car started, Robert gassed it a little & threw some gravel. It blew out both headlights & the windshield of the truck. Robert said he wondered why it got dark all of a sudden & then he said "Dad still uses the truck to feed with; he just has to hang out the side window to see where he's going" And there are MANY more stories...

so? Is Robert going to get some fresh rubber for the Nats or does he have to use brand new Hockey pucks, I felt terrible for the guy having been in his situation many many times a non running car eliminates any chances for even small victories, Ive had weekends where if the car could start and run under its own power we were happy to call it a night!. Start N Park baby! Anyway, Congratz to Robert, hope that Win keeps him in the seat for a bit longer.

I'm sure if you asked that boy from Texas that started the Robert Bell tire fund last year for Knoxville Nationals he would do it again . I know he himself is getting a 305 started.

I'm currently talking to him about it now, and if we can promote it even more, we can get him even more than last year! Anyone who knows this guy or anything about his story knows he lives and breathes to be behind the wheel. He built his sprint car in his living room and cut the wall off his mobile home to get it out. If there is anyone out there that deserves someone to help him out, it's Robert Bell. If we can get a place on the web going where money can be donated, I'll get a link up, and all you guys have to do is make it spread like wildfire. The smile on Robert's face last year was priceless, and I hope that the racing community can step up to do it bigger and better for this year's Nationals.

He is looking to build his own midget lite next season if you all are looking for something to donate towards!
