FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 4, 2006 - David Smith, Jr. - Midwest City, Oklahoma - Only a hand full of spots remain for the modified portion of the Eddie Martin chassis seminar, to be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2007 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. But while the modified portion of the event is close to being a sellout, there are plenty of seats available for the seminar he will host earlier in the afternoon for limited modifieds and stock cars. The Stillwell, Oklahoma resident is one of the states most successful modified and stock car drivers, having surpassed well over 300 feature victories during his career. One of Eddie's most memorable stock car wins came during the first annual $10,000 to win Street Stock Nationals back in 1996 at Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma and the 1994 edition of the $5000 to win street stock spectacular at Tri-State Speedway in Pocloa, Oklahoma. Thus, this driver knows of what he will be teaching as many drivers from throughout the Midwest have learned many new technical aspects of racing from his seminars. In the modifieds, Eddie has been highly successful throughout his career in this division as he has amassed several big paying modified feature victories. Among the most recent include this years running of the annual Sooner Modified Round-Up at Clinton Speedway in Clinton, Oklahoma which paid $4000 to win. Also the I-76 Nationals in Morgan, Colorado, a three-time winner of the Desert Classic at Canyon Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona and the biggest win of his career, $30,000 in Minot, North Dakota. The stock car seminar will begin at 1:00 PM and will cover all aspects of chassis setups for limited modifieds, factory stocks, street stocks and mini stocks. This class will cover all of the following: complete front end geometry, castor, cambor, toe, rear suspensions, leaf springs, coil springs, trailing arms, spring and shock rates, tire stagger and pressure, wheel offsets, weight percentages and much more. Later that evening, the modified seminar will kick off at 6:00 PM and will cover the following: complete front end geometry, bump steer, ackerman, toe, caster, camber, complete rear suspension geometry, four links, z-links, two links, birdcages and indexing, spring location, panhard bars, pull bars, spring and shock rates, tires, stagger, pressure, wheel offsets, weight mounting and location and much, much more. Cost is $60 per person, per seminar or $100 for both seminars and does include a chassis seminar workbook. To guarantee a spot, preregistration is strongly suggested as both seminars are limited to seventy participants. Drinks and snacks will be provided for both seminars and door prizes will be awarded during both sessions. The Hilton Garden Inn is located south of I-40 and Meridian on the West hand side of the road. The official entry form can be found by accessing http://www.oklahomatidbits.com/ and by clicking the Eddie Martin banner on the front page of the website. Or you can register by sending your name, address, telephone number and email address (if available) along with check, credit card information or money order only too Travis Penrod, 509 N. 2nd St., Davis, OK 73030. For more seminar information, contact Travis (580) 247-1717 or at [email protected] or Don Penrod (580) 247-1718. (David Smith
