How about an overdose of USMTS Modified action!!! Collapse with a smile on your face after this two week vacation: 10 USMTS races in 12 days starting with Grain Valley in west central Missouri on June 18th and end at Wainwright in eastern Oklahoma on June 29th! That's Missouri, south central Kansas, western Oklahoma, Texas panhandle, 2-days to golf, swim, eat, recharge, whatever, then central Texas, DFW Metroplex area and end with a Saturday-Sunday back in southern and eastern Oklahoma.
Now only 7 of those ("only", lol) are S&S Fishing & Rental USMTS 'SOUTHERN' Region points events. That starts with Elk City Speedway on Friday, June 20th and then goes west to Amarillo's Route 66 Motor Speedway -- the home track of defending USMTS National Champion Rodney Sanders Racing -- the following Saturday. After the break, we'll find ourselves - clap, clap, clap, CLAP - deep in the heart o' Texas - at Heart O' Texas Speedway, north of Waco on TUESDAY night, June 24th.
On WEDNESDAY, June 25th, it's the long awaited return to Da' Bowl -- the legendary Devil's Bowl Speedway -- especially since we got rained out back in May. THURSDAY the 26th it's over to Mountain Creek Speedway (formerly Grand Prairie Speedway). I don't know where they hide the mountain, the creek or the prairie for that matter because it's pretty much city all around there to me but it should be a heck-of-race on that tacky little bull ring and one well worth watching! MCR wil take off from their regular Friday night program the next night because....
It's back to Superbowl Speedway in Greenville on FRIDAY the 27th as their 'Super month of June' continues. They had a great USMTS feature there back in March when the 2014 Southern Region began. You wouldn't think they could fit all that 3-wide racing onto that 1/4 mile oval but trust me, they can!
And speaking of 3-wide racing... the Southern Region part of this ends at John Webb's outstanding Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore on Saturday the 28th. This week will surely test the Southern Region teams with the travel, perhaps heat and some strong competition with better-than-average car counts but in the end, Stormy Scott, Rodney Sanders, Johnny Scott, Kelly Shryock or Cade Dillard is going to be a deserving Southern Region Champ that can zero in on 'The Hunt' next!
There is one more region to go though... This Southern Speedweek is book-ended by 3 Major League Bowhunter Central Region events. The first one is the WEDNESDAY June 18th at Valley Speedway followed by C. Ray Hall's 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas -- a fine facility! -- on THURSDAY the 19th. Another fast, high banked, top notch facility is Outlaw Motorsports Park in Wainwright, Oklahoma south of Muskogee. A Central Region make-up date has been re-scheduled there for SUNDAY night, June 29th to wrap-up 'The 12-days of Summer'!
How many will we/you make???

Rodney Sanders beat Zack VanderBeek to the finish line by a mere 11 one-THOUSANTHS of a second at 81 Speedway last night! That's like a dead-heat finish to the naked eye! Kelly Shryock, Thomas Tillison, Jr. and Dylan Smith rounded out the top 5. Southern Region Speedweek starts up tonight in Elk City, Oklahoma! Can't wait to see what's going to happen there!!!
