Agreed. Sorry I couldn't make my way over there Saturday. Was tied up in the pit area getting some info on various topics. Where exactly are you guys located at Lincoln. Turn 1 is a big place.

How does a driver come in from New York State with not much 410 experience and whoop/pound/hand it to the Posse? All the big dogs were there, Hodnett, Dietrich, Dewease and Kreitz amongst others, how does this happen, have they fallen that far or is this youngster the next star from the East? Methinks the Posse have returned to the backmarkers they once were everywhere but the Grove, guess some things will never change, sadly.....

It was a good race all around from what I understood but the top three stayed the top three. I dont really know how starting front row makes him " whoop/hound/pound" us. Hes been racing here this entire season. And he rarely has done much outside of this win not saying he hasnt improved drastically from last year at the Natty Open but next star is pushing it. And last i checked, deitrich has won 5 out of the last 7 sanctioned events at Lincoln?? So not too sure where your info is coming from.

mspn---he did something the great Kyle Larson hasn't been able to do already ...and SSP is basically neutral ground.
BMD - where have you been the last few months. Barger has been running as good as anyone. If you remember correctly, last year at the National Open he was the ONLY driver to make the dash both nights. Earlier this season he almost pulled off two other feature wins. I'd say he has done WELL aside from this win.

I said he is improving and will only get better racing here, but to call him a rising star is a little too much. Hes just average like most people around here. And your info is false about the dash. Buckwalter started on the front row both nights of the Natty Open. Im a Barger fan myself, but again to say he whooped us is a little ridiculous.

You do realize that there is no weekly 410 racing in NY, NJ, MD or DE right? When drivers from these states decide to go 410 racing, it's in PA. Your question makes about as much sense as asking how it is possible that drivers such as Brian Brown(MO), Danny Lasoski(MO), Mark Dobmeier(ND), Justin Henderson(SD), Dusty Zomer(MN), Davey Heskin(MN), Ian Madsen(AU) or Lynton Jefferey(AU) can go to Knoxville and beat up on the regulars. They are the regulars (duh) just as Barger is a PA regular.
As for Barger, he's been a star in the 360 ranks for probably close to a decade and has run a few 410 shows on the side the last 5 years or more. IDK if he's the next big thing but he's pretty good. Glad to see him get a win after suffering a bad concussion and I believe some broken ribs a couple weeks ago at Port Royal. Austin Hogue and JJ Grasso also picked up first time 410 wins this year.

HAHAHA I will save my breathe and not list the things (and many, way more important) that Larson has done and he hasnt. But back on topic...
Good job on the win Justin! Keep on kickin'!!!

Wait, hasn't Barger been running a significant amount with the Posse anyway this year? I read several interviews with him over the offseason that he wanted to do much more 410 racing this year, and he is usually in the 410 field at the Grove.

Oh Mike, needed some entertainment with no mid-week races I see. Fact: Justin has been at Williams Grove and Port Royal every single week (excluding the week he got injured) and has flat out said I love racing in Pennsylvania and being apart of the Posse. He is a fan-favorite and got a standing ovation from the crowd at Susky as he took the checkers.
Like someone stated, by your logic Rick Lafferty who has come from New Jersey to race at the Grove for how many years now isn't Posse? And then by using that logic the Knoxville regulars are awful, because Dobmeier, Brown, Heskin, etc. can just go in there and beat up on them Iowa boys. There's 2 Iowa drivers in the top 12 in Knoxville points.
Not much of a debate here on Barger.
You are right though in that the Posse has taken a step back this year. But you are wrong in the sense that the Grove is their best track as that would be Lincoln.
Hope to catch up with ya in a couple months at the Mecca.

I just like the idea of new guys showing up on the scene and the fact he's from out of State makes it even better, good for him!! It has been some time since a driver came from out of the area to do so well, isn't it usually an ex-Outlaw driver that makes this happen in PA (Pittman, Hodnett etc). By saying that I hope I don't jinx him, having spent lots of time around Knoxville I am familiar with drivers doing some travelling to race weekly, more power to him.....
