Living down in Georgia means getting my 410 sprint car fix (wing/non-wing) entails a pretty long trip that needs to be planned out. If you wanted to plan a short vacation this year, whats the best options? I've already done Knoxville 3 times and the Ohio Sprint speedweek a few years back, so those are off the cards. Kings Royal maybe? 4-Crown? A Pennslvania weekend? Don't have a camper or anything like that, so either driving/hotel or flying/rental/hotel.

I don't know how long you have, but if it's like a 4 day deal, I would recommend the following options:
- Doty Classic/Kings ROyal
- King's Royal/Lernerville Silver Cup
- Silver Cup to Williams Grove Summer Nationals

I'd take in PA Speedweek. I've been doing this for my summer vacation for about 15 years. This year it runs from June 27 thru July 6. There are 9 races in 10 days at 7 different tracks. The total mileage this year comes in around 700 miles. You can split the week up if you can't come the whole week. There are hotels close to most every track also. If you want more details just ask.

I would go to the Doty classic on Wed. Kings Royal on Sat. and fill in days around those with Indiana non wing speed week shows....You would get the best of both worlds and the driving would be tolerable....

Indiana Sprint week gets my vote followed by Knoxville 9 days of 360 Nats, Capatani Classic, Front Row Challenge and the 410 nats.

My vote for a bucket list item would be Ventura Raceway in Ventura, Ca. You can sit on the top row of the stands in turn one and watch the races in front of you, or turn your back and watch the Waves from the Pacific Ocean crash on the beach. The choices above may have better racing and better weekends, but no one can top the surroundings at Ventura.

Eldora for the KIngs Royal on fri and sat night, sun night Indiana sprintweek at Lawerenceburg right off the beltway outside Cincinnatti. Stay somewhere just north of Dayton and you're lookin at an hour drive each way. Do it every year, can't beat it.

I've been to the Knoxville Nationals 16 times, the Kings Royal a handful of times, and Ventura for 410 non-winged shows probably about 10 times over the years, but nothing, in my opinion, comes close to Indiana Sprint Weeks. Can't wait for this year. 4082 mile round trip from AZ in an 8.5 mpg RV, but racing doesn't get any better than that deal.

Unfortunately, you are forced to have to listen to the worst, most annoying announcer in the business at Ventura. No thanks.

Go to Perris Auto Speedway to the Oval Nationals in November. Spend a night in the Beverly Hills Hotel, go to Hollywood, be on a game show, go to Venice-the beach. Rent a place overlooking the ocean in Laguna. Visit Palm Springs if you play golf. Have a really good time.

I am going to my first Indiana Sprint Week this year and I cannot wait!!! I got a chance to go to Gas City for the first time Memorial day weekend and I could not believe how good their weekly show was. Absolutely AMAZING! Went to Western World last year for the first time and that was a great show as well. From everything I have heard, the speed of Terre Haute, the knee high cushions of Lincoln Park and raciest dirt track in the country (Kokomo) make Indiana Sprint week a MUST GO. I am taking the signs this year and heading down. 45+ sprint cars every single night, and about 15-18 of those are guys that can win the feature
Real race cars don't have fenders...

We (the group of people I go racing with) went to Indiana Midget Week last year. It's happening right now at the moment so it's too late for you to make it this year, but it was a fantastic trip last year. Five nights in a row with the best midget drivers AND non-wing sprint cars are the support class for the midgets, so you get a USAC quality non-wing show to go along with the midget show. Tons of fun at Indiana's bull rings!

Last year, I went to the Doty on Thursday (pushed back a day due to rain), Indiana Sprint Week opener at Gas City on Friday and then to Eldora for the Kings Royal on Saturday. When I do it again, I'll add the Sunday Sprint Week show, Tuesday at Lernerville and then the Summer Nationals at the Grove. Throw in some non-racing sites (such as the Football Hall of Fame in Canton) and it's a great week!

If your going for all out one event big time feel. Id say Knox nationals, kings royal or Silly Bowl.
You want 7 races in 9 nights of a big car count and insane racing.
INDIANA SPRINT WEEK, NO QUESTION!

Many good suggestions here , I can help you plan your ,as I do racing tours , but I suggest Chili Bowl in January , Indiana Speedweek in July , and if you want to come to Pa Speedweek , or any race in Pa give me a shout . It really depends on what you like to watch , or is your favorite type of racing ? then I can make better suggestions and plans .
