Summer Spectacular Weekend kicks-off at the Stockton Dirt Track on Friday June 20 with $3,000-to-win Winged 360 Sprint Car event

Stockton, CA – June 11, 2014…The Stockton Dirt Track will roar back to life on Friday June 20 to kick-off a big weekend racing in Northern California. The “Summer Spectacular Weekend” will feature Winged 360 Sprint Cars & Dirt Modifieds taking to Stockton on Friday, followed by the Antioch Speedway on Saturday June 21.

Both nights will feature lucrative payouts, highlighted by the Winged 360 Sprint Car portion paying $3,000-to-win & $400-to-start the A-main. The runner up in the feature will earn $1500, with third place paying $1200, fourth place $1,000 and fifth place $900.

The 360 Sprints will run a Civil War style format during the night, which includes qualifying, heat races, a dash, LCS and A-main. It will also follow Civil War rules, with the exception that the Muffler rule won’t be strictly followed. Schoenfeld’s will be allowed.

It will be the fifth Winged 360 Sprint Car event held at the Stockton Dirt Track, with previous winners including Sacramento’s Willie Croft, San Jose’s Tim Kaeding, Rutherford’s Rico Abreu and Placerville’s Andy Gregg, who picked up the win on May 17.

The Summer Spectacular will also mark the second time that the exciting Dirt Modifieds will attack the blazing fast Stockton Dirt Track.

Tickets for June 20 will be $20 for the upper deck and $18 for the lower deck bleachers.

There will be no reserved seating for the night, but the $20 ticket will allow fans to sit on the upper level. Pit Passes will be $40. Will call & ticket window will open at 3:30pm on May 17, with the front gate opening at 5pm and first heat scheduled for 7pm.

After the Friday June 20 event, remaining shows for the Stockton Dirt Track will include the West Coast Late Model Shootout Series/ Dirt Modifieds & Bombers on Saturday July 12, the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series/ Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprints & Vintage Supers on Saturday August 2, Monster Trucks & Tuff Trucks on Saturday October 11 and the Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series/ King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series on Saturday November 1.

The event on November 1 marks the first time that the Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series presented by Flowmaster and the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series competes on the same card. It will also be the 31st annual “Tribute to Gary Patterson” and is being filmed by MAVTV American Real for airing during the Dirty 30 Series.

The Stockton Dirt Track is a lightning fast 3/8 mile clay oval and is located on the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton, California. It is built inside a one-mile horse track and boasts one of the nicest dirt track facilities in the state.

For Sprint Car & Modified teams that run Stockton on Friday & then go to Antioch Speedway on Saturday, they will receive $100 tow money. Both nights Winged 360 Sprint Car main events will pay $3,000-to win. Teams are more than welcome to stay at the Stockton Dirt Track on Friday night.

Thats the results you deserve when you are a parasite who tries to out bid for cars you don't run weekly. both he and the pig farmer decided not to work with other promoters and give them the finger. thats a page from the Dan Simpson school of promoting....paul

So glad the majority of tracks and series are working together, and these tracks are in the minority. Working together is what will help keep the sport strong in Ca, and teams will reward those tracks with their loyalty as much as they can. There was no way Antioch was going to be very successful running against Pville, Marysville and the KWS, wat too much loyalty to those 2 tracks and series.
