Hebing and Howland 1-2 last night and the only 2 unchevies on the track. RoushYates long gone and the remnants are still the cars to beat. Why is almost everyone in our sport enfatuated with mediocrity. After last night I have to wander if their should be a most average award. The WoO would win hands down.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Let me ask you a question. I am a Ford fan. Every daily driver that I own is a Ford. With there being very few Fords at the track, thereby fewer parts available should I need something at the last minute, and with Ford parts being so much more expensive and more unreliable in a Sprint Car, I decided on day one that I needed to run a Chevy. Chevies have more support amongst competitors, more support with regards to the number of companies that are offering solid performance parts, and generally more support from the spectator stand point as well. Their are any number of companies that are offering parts at reasonable prices and Chevrolet has produced components that tend to outlast Ford products in our sport.
So here is the question. For all of your comments regarding the lack of a large number of Ford products running in Sprint Cars, how many have you supported financially? I will run a Ford in a heartbeat if you are paying for it. Here is your opportunity to put up. I will tear the Chevy out of my car tonight and prep it for a Ford, you can drop a check in the mail. When you are ready to put your money where your mouth is I am ready to run your Ford.

You run a 305 sprint car and you say you're a FORD fan but yet you choose to put a Chevy in it? WTF? The 302 Ford is one of the most reliable proven platforms for high performance. The argument that Ford parts are so much more expensive doesnt hold water when you are talking about aftermarket performance parts. The reason there are so many Chevys in short track racing is that racers are followers they dont tend to be trendsetters. If Joe Blow is using X,Y,Z stuff than the other racers want to use X,Y,Z stuff. If I ever had the opportunity to own a 305 team I would be using a Ford motor, no doubt about it.
Cheers!

Actually a 302 has been tried and it was pretty fast ,,,,,,,, before it broke.
Maybe you should put one together and come on out and show us all how it is done. (LOL)
I will keep my Chevy, which is pretty reliable and not costing me an arm and a leg to keep together. If Rousch could not make the Ford a seller I am sure that you will be waiting forever for most racers to run one. It is what it is. Like I said, I will run one if you guys want to pay for it. If it is coming out of my pocket I will go with a program that has proven itself.
PS: the 360 and the 410 are also Chevies.

Would anybody like to tell me how them Ralph/Yates crumbs did last night at Eagle. Ok I will.....they got there ass handed to them. Well I take that back 2 of them finished in the top 20. But there was a Ralph/Yates sports compact that run 4th...so maybe they should start building $40,000 motors to run in the sports compacts and then they can beat their drum again.

Things are the way they are for a reason. The Ford yahoos just need to accept it and get a life.

And I'd bet you lose very little sleep over Chevy engines being dominant in sprint car racing??? Good for you...

Always love how Ford parts cost more, aftermarket parts all are expencive no mater what brand. Yes there's less used Ford race parts for sale on the web vs Chevy but if your willing to look around you can build a Ford for the price of the Chevy. I don't knock anyone for what brand they want to run, I prefer our Fords and ours are not Roush/Yates.

I've owned Chevys and Fords in all of my personal vehicles. I currently own 2 Fords, both with 302s under the hood. I'll just say that I won't be going back to Chevy any time soon. Also, Chevy makes the ugliest pickup trucks on the road. Racing....now that's a different story.

At least Chevy never made the 6.0 Powerstroke, undoubtedly the worst piece of crap ever turned out by the Big 3.
