Hello all. I'm from the midwest and attend traditional sprint car races all the time in Indiana. With Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt) being the home track. But, next week I am driving cross country to southern California and want to check out the non wing sprints in the area. I will hopefully be there from the 6th to the 17th. Doing a little research I see Ventura is running the 7th (and I hear its a lot like Haubstadt) and Perris the 14th. I plan on hitting both these tracks for the first time.

My question is there anywhere else I should go in this time frame or tips you can give on these tracks. I don't know when I will ever be back so I want to see as much as possible. Also what is the ticket/parking situation like at Perris? I cannot find much info about it.

Thanks fro the replys guys. I'm looking into all this right now. Indiana is very good for racing. In a total of five weeks i plan to have been to Haubstadt, Kokomo, Putnamville, Bloomington, Indy 500, and the Cali tracks we are talking about. I don't think it will ever get much better than that. I sure will be taking it in while I can because like I said I'm not sure when I will be able to do something like this again.

Can anyone shead some light on the ticket/parking situation at perris? I don't know how i'm missing it but I sure cant find any info. I've heard maybe there is a parking fee there?

$8 to park i think G.A. is$25 not sure on G.A. arrive early and come to the camp ground and avoid the parking Nazis.you can hang out with the regulars and maybe get fed by the PAS crew.

ROB

PS avoid the regular show at Ventura I think last VRA show they had less than 10 cars

If you would like to see about 250 vintage street cars and trucks at at FREE car show I recommend the Donut Derelicts car show in Huntington Beach, Ca., from 5:30AM to 8:30AM every Saturday morning at the corner of Adams and Magnolia. This is the best FREE car show on the West coast, and it is worth getting up early to see.

I am glad you chose to come support the Ventura sprint cars. I never post on these things and don't know who these people are on here but it was great to meet you and was refreshing to see a true fan such as yourself. When I was a kid I would ride my bike to terre haute just to hear the sound of a sprint car. I didn't care if there was one car or 30. The alcohol smelled the same. I think there is talent at the racetrack you visited and am glad you didn't get discouraged by the naysayers on here. Thanks for cheering us on and coming to say "hi" in the pits! You were a refreshing face and a true fan! Enjoy your time in so cal, it's a beautiful place and you will see a good show where ever you end up!
